Synopsis

Deokman (later known as Queen Seon Deok) was born as a twin but was abandoned as a baby. She was later brought back to the Silla palace, where she joined forces with her twin sister Princess Cheonmyeng to oppose Mi-shil, who wanted to seize power. Mi-shil devised sinister plans to have the two Silla princesses exiled from the kingdom, and in a secretive battle, Princess Chonmyong was assassinated by Mi-shil. However, Princess Deokman shrewdly enlisted the help of General Kim Yusin and eliminated her archenemy Mi-shil. She became the first female ruler of the Silla kingdom.

Mata Putri Deokman (Lee Yo-won) membelalak begitu melihat sosok yang sudah begitu dikenalnya, ia langsung berlari mendekati Sohwa (Seo Young-hee) kemudian memeluknya sambil menangis seperti anak kecil.

Setelah saling bercerita tentang pengalaman masing-masing setelah kejadian di padang pasir, Putri Deokman dan Sohwa melepas kerinduan. Namun sayang, kali ini mereka tidak bisa seperti ibu dan anak karena status Deokman sebagai putri raja.

Di kediamannya, Mishil sangat kaget saat tahu Sohwa akhirnya berhasil bertemu dengan Putri Deokman. Pukulan semakin dalam saat ia diberitahu Chilseok (Ahn Kil-kang) kalau orang yang telah membantu Sohwa meloloskan diri adalah Munno (Jung Ho-bin). Oleh Seolwon (Jun Noh-min), diusulkan supaya Chilseok menjadi ketua hwarang alias wonsanghwa yang baru. Tujuannya cuma satu : menggalang kekuatan kubu Mishil.

Sementara itu, orang yang bakal ditawari tengah termenung dikamar membayangkan ekspresi Sohwa yang begitu ketakutan saat melihat dirinya. Saat ditawari Mishil, Chilseok menyebut perlu waktu untuk berpikir. Pertemuan dengan Sohwa membuat Chilseok yakin tidak ada tempat bagi dirinya di sisi wanita itu, ia memutuskan untuk menyetujui permintaan Mishil.

Hati Chilseok teriris saat menyadari kalau di sisi Mishil adalah satu-satunya tempat dimana dirinya harus berada. Ketika berjalan keluar, pria itu terkejut oleh kehadiran Sohwa yang tiba-tiba memanggilnya. Di pinggir kolam, keduanya sadar bahwa setelah hari itu, posisi keduanya ada di kubu yang berseberangan.

Ketika persiapan acara pelantikan ketua hwarang alias pungwolju tengah dilangsungkan, terjadi keributan di pintu masuk ketika seorang pria setengah baya berusaha memaksa masuk. Saat berusaha mencegah, keributan malah terjadi setelah Jukbang (Lee Moon-shik) dan Godo (Ryu Dam) terpental.

Di dalam balai pertemuan pertempuran tidak bisa dihindari, tanpa kesulitan pria tersebut mampu menaklukkan para hwarang termasuk para pentolannya. Bahkan, para petarung seperti Alcheon (Lee Seung-hyo) dan Seokpum (Hong Kyung-in) bukan tandingan. Begitu masuk ke lokasi, rombongan Putri Deokman terkejut melihat para hwarang andalan istana terkapar sementara seorang pria berdiri dengan gagahnya.

Begitu melihat, Deokman sadar kalau pria itu adalah guru Bidam. Yang wajahnya pucat adalah Mishil, sementara para hwarang langsung terkejut saat mengetahui pria yang baru saja menaklukkan mereka adalah Munno. Sambil menunjuk kursinya yang kosong, Munno menyebut kalau kehadirannya adalah untuk menghadiri pelantikan wonsanghwa.

Namun, Mishil sadar kalau kehadiran Munno tidak semata-mata demi acara rutin para hwarang. Saat bicara empat mata di kediamannya, Mishil mengingatkan kalau berkat dirinyalah Munno, yang merupakan anak putri bangsa Gaya, bisa masuk ke jajaran bangsawan Shilla.

Dengan wajah tenang, Munno kembali membeberkan sejumlah kejadian yang membuatnya memutuskan kembali ke istana. Ucapan Munno, yang mengaku bakal mengawasi turnamen hwarang, membuat Mishil bagai tersambar petir. Sementara itu di tempat lain, Putri Deokman terkejut saat mendapat kabar Munno tengah berdiskusi dengan Mishil.

Ingatan Sohwa kembali ke 20 tahun sebelumnya, ia ingat betul kalau Munno pernah berniat menjodohkan Deokman yang masih bayi dengan Bidam muridnya. Dari situ terungkap, Bidam ternyata adalah anak Mishil dari Raja Jinji. Dengan hati-hati, Sohwa berusaha mencari tahu tentang karakter Bidam dari Putri Deokman.

Berkat saran Seolwon, Mishil akhirnya setuju kalau kompetisi untuk menentukan siapa pungwolju alias kepala para hwarang diawasi oleh Munno. Apalagi, Seolwon menyebut yakin bahwa putranya Bojong (Baek Do-bin) tidak akan menemui kesulitan untuk merebut posisi itu.

Di pertemuan pertamanya dengan Munno, Putri Deokman sudah dikejutkan oleh ketidaksetujuan sang penasehat (gukseon) akan niatnya untuk menggantikan sang ayah. Selain menyebut Putri Deokman tidak akan bisa meraih semuanya sendirian, Munno juga memintanya untuk membuktikan diri kalau sang putri lebih baik dari Mishil.

Dari kediaman Putri Deokman, Munno secara tidak sengaja bertemu dengan Sohwa. Keduanya terlibat pembicaraan serius, Sohwa menyebut tidak setuju dengan rencana Munno untuk menjodohkan Putri Deokman dengan Bidam. Obrolan tersebut terdengar oleh Bidam, yang langsung teringat dengan kejadian di masa silam saat dirinya yang masih kecil membantai sekelompok orang dan langsung membuat sang guru berubah sikap.

Di hari kompetisi penentuan pungwolju, masing-masing pimpinan klan hwarang menghadiri rapat yang dihadiri oleh Putri Deokman, Mishil, Munno, dan Chilseok. Berbeda dengan biasa, kali ini pertarungan untuk menentukan siapa yang terbaik menjadi bagian terakhir dari kompetisi.

Pada ronde pertama, Munno ternyata mengetes kejelian para pimpinan klan hwarang. Saat ditanya, tidak ada satupun yang menjawab kecuali Bojong, yang dengan rinci mampu menjelaskan sejumlah atribut yang tidak biasa dikenakan hwarang yang menjaga di pintu masuk. Wajah Putri Deokman langsung berubah, ia sadar kubu Mishil telah memenangkan ronde pertama kompetisi.

Deok Man sadar saat ia melihat ke arah So Hwa dan ia heran melihat So Hwa mendekatinya. Joo Bang dan Go Do terkejut melihat So Hwa dapat melarikan diri. Deok Man bergumam : Ibu dan tertegun kemudian yakin kalau itu memang So hwa dan lari menyongsongnya, mereka berpelukan dan menangis karena gembira dan kerinduan yang dalam. Deok Man ingin So Hwa mengatakan bahwa ia benar2 So Hwa dan bertanya dimana So Hwa selama ini dan ia berpikir So Hwa sudah mati di gurun pasir. So Hwa berkata ia tidak mati dan berhasil bertahan.

Joo Bang dan Go Do senang sekali melihat So Hwa sudah dapat berbicara sekarang, ia sembuh karena melihat Deok Man. Deok Man dan So Hwa terus berpelukan dengan sukacita. Kim Yu Shin dan Al Cheon hanya melihat dengan heran. Dae Pung dan Guk San Heun yang ingin menyelamatkan So Hwa merasa lega karena So Hwa sudah aman. Pengejar2 So Hwa juga datang terlambat. So hwa sudah pergi dengan Deok Man. Chil sook datang dan melihat So Hwa sudah bertemu Deok Man. Moon Noh melihat mereka dan yakin bahwa memang Deok Man adalah benar2 anak yang ditakdirkan sebagai lawan Mi Shil itu.

Deok Man membawa So Hwa ke kediamannya dan ingin tahu apa yang terjadi selama ini. So Hwa hanya berkata betapa cantiknya Deok Man dengan baju Putrinya. Deok Man berkeras So Hwa harus menceritakan semuanya. So hwa berkata lain kali saja. Deok Man berkata ia melihat Chil Sook di seorabeol dan bertanya apa So Hwa sampai ke sini bersama Chil Sook. So Hwa tidak menjawabnya tapi mengalihkan perhatian dengan bertanya bagaimana Deok Man dapat memulihkan statusnya. Deok Man tetap minta jawaban. Akhirnya So Hwa mengaku bahwa Chil Sook menyelamatkan nyawanya. Deok Man heran. So Hwa berkata mungkin Chil Sook menyelamatkannya karena insting. Deok man masih ingin bertanya tapi So Hwa menghentikannya. Ia sangat senang bertemu lagi dengan Deok Man. Deok Man memeluk ibunya dan So Hwa berjanji akan menceritakan semua saat waktunya tepat. Deok Man mau mendengar dan mengerti So hwa.

So Hwa menghadap Raja dan Ratu Maya. Raja bertanya bagaimana So Hwa dapat sembuh dan berbicara juga mampu lari dari Mi Shil. Ratu berkata ia sudah mencari kesemua tempat untuk menemukan So hwa, tapi ia gagal dan ini sangat disesali oleh Ratu. So Hwa juga memohon pada Raja dan Ratu agar merahasiakan bahwa ia pernah diculik oleh Mi Shil dari Deok Man. Ratu Maya mengerti bahwa So Hwa sangat memperhatikan perasaan dan reaksi Deok Man.

So Hwa berkata Deok Man adalah Putri Raja, bagaimana ia yang hanya pelayan rendahan membebani pikiran Deok Man. So Hwa berkata bahwa Deok Man menghabiskan masa kecilnya hanya untuk mengkhawatirkan dirinya. So Hwa berkata meskipun Raja Jinpyeong mempercayakan Deok Man untuk dijaga oleh So Hwa, tapi sebenarnya Deok Manlah yang menjaga So Hwa. Ratu Maya berkata sebaliknya, karena So Hwalah maka Putri sekarang tumbuh menjadi pribadi yang mengagumkan. Raja Jinpyeong mengungkapkan rasa terima kasihnya karena kesetiaan So Hwa dan ia akan membayar semua jasa So Hwa seumur hidupnya. Raja dengan tulus berterima kasih.

Mi Shil mendapat laporan bahwa So Hwa sudah bertemu lagi dengan Putri Deok Man. Bo Jong mengiyakan masalah itu. Mi Shil bertanya bagaimana Bo Jong membiarkan insiden ini terjadi. Bo Jong berkata ada orang yang ikut campur, Chil Sook juga membenarkan bahwa orang itu adalah Moon Noh. Mi shil shock bahwa Moon Noh muncul. (Sepertinya Mi Shil kena sakit kepala lagi..he..he)

Deok Man menarik So Hwa ke tempat tidurnya dan bertanya apa So Hwa tahu ia ingin tidur bersama ibunya lagi seperti waktu di penginapan di gurun. So Hwa berkata mereka tidak bisa seperti dulu lagi karena sekarang Deok Man adalah Putri Raja dan ia adalah pelayan istana. Deok Man tidak mau tahu dan berkeras agar ibunya menemaninya. So Hwa berkata sepertinya ia melihat Moon Noh. Deok Man heran. So Hwa berkata tadi ia ada dalam bahaya dan sepertinya pria yang menyelamatkannya adalah Moon Noh.

Moon Noh mendengar dari Bi Dam bahwa Deok Man mengambil kembali statusnya dengan memalsukan ramalan Bakhyeokgeose. Bi Dam berkata itulah mengapa ia ingin gurunya bertemu Deok Man. Moon Noh juga bertanya apa benar Deok Man menyembunyikan fakta tentang gerhana matahari dari semua orang untuk memnipulasi Mi Shil. Bi Dam mengiyakan. Moon Noh juga menanyakan tentang niat Deok Man membagi pengetahuan sistem kalenderisasi ke pada rakyat dengan tujuan meyakinkan Wyol Cheon untuk menghitung gerhana matahari untuknya. Iya kata Bi Dam. Deok Man akan membuat Moon Noh terkejut karena ia ingin menjadi Ratu. Moon Noh terkejut mengetahui ambisi Deok Man menjadi Ratu.

Moon Noh berkata Deok Man itu wanita, ia seharusnya punya keinginan untuk membantu pasangannya meraih takhta, karena ia sekarang sudah kembali sebagai Putri Raja. Bi Dam berkata bahwa Deok Man akan menjadi Ratu Silla dan jasa dan kebijaksanaannya akan menentukan keputusan dan pilihannya.

Mi Shil berkata pada Seol Won Rang mengenai Moon Noh yng muncul kembali. Seol Won juga berkata bahwa jurus2 Bi Dam benar-benar luar biasa dan ia sudah minta Chil Sook menyelidikinya. Dan ternyata benar, Bi Dam memang murid Moon Noh dan bahkan Moon Noh juga selalu memperhatikan pergerakan Deok Man dengan mengirimkan muridnya. Seol Won berkata mereka tidak boleh meremehkan hal ini. Mi Shil berpikir sebaliknya, jika Moon Noh memang ingin membantu Deok Man, maka ia tinggal kembali ke Hwarang dan menggunakan jabatannya untuk membantu Deok Man dan tidak sesederhana pembangunan Cheomseongdae. Seol Won menyatakan bahwa pembangunan Cheomseongdae sudah dimulai, tapi ia tidak tahu kapan selesainya.

Mi Shil berpikir apa yang akan terjadi di Hwa Rang jika Guk Seon Moon Noh akan kembali dan aktif di Hwa Rang. (Dalam Hwa Rang ada 2 posisi top senior, Yang pertama adalah Pungwolju sekarang dijabat oleh Ho Jae. Kedua adalah Guk Seon)

Seol Won meminta diadakan pemilihan untuk mencari Pungwolju baru, sudah waktunya Ho Jae mengakhiri jabatannya. Mi Shil yakin Bo Jong akan menjadi Pungwolju berikutnya.

Seol Won minta Hwa Rang dipercayakan pada Chil Sook saja. Mi Shil heran dengan saran Seol Won yang mengangkat Chil Sook. Seol Won berkata sebagai Menteri Pertahanan, tugas2 kementerian membuatnya tidak dapat memantau pergerakan para Hwa rang. Mi Shil berkata jadi kalau ada Chil Sook, mereka dapat menggalang kekuatan dan kesatuan dalam Hwa Rang melalui Chil Sook. Seol Won menyatakan bahwa Chil Sook akan seimbang dengan Moon Noh. Mi Shil berkata mereka harus tetap menyembunyikan rahasia bahwa mereka-lah yang menahan So Hwa. Mi Shil minta Chil Sook dipanggil.

Chil Sook memikirkan So Hwa dan ingat bagaimana ketakutannya So Hwa melihatnya dan bertanya-tanya apa itu yang So Hwa rasakan mengenai dirinya (Tirza: Ooh...Chil Sook is really in love..). Bo Jong meminta Chil Sook menghadap Mi shil. Mi Shil merancang cerita, karena sekarang Putri Deok Man sudah diakui, maka Raja tidak punya alasan untuk menyakiti So Hwa. Raja pasti akan minta So Hwa melayani Putri Deok Man. Jadi takdir Chil Sook bukan dengan So Hwa. Mi shil berkata bagi Deok Man, Chil Sook pasti membawa kenangan buruk baginya. Mi Shil akan membela Chil Sook di depan Raja, ini salah Raja karena menyembunyikan putri kembar. Mi Shil menawarkan posisi Wonsanghwa (posisi tertinggi di Hwa Rang) pada Chil sook, tapi Chil Sook sepertinya tidak begitu senang.

Mi shil meminta Chil Sook aktif lagi di Hwa Rang karena akan sangat bermanfaat bagi Silla dan Deok Man tidak akan mampu melakukan apapun pada Chil Sook. Chil sook berkata akan berpikir dan mempertimbangkannya. Mi Shil berkata ketidakhadiran Moon Noh juga berpengaruh pada Hwa Rang dan apa yang dimiliki Moon Noh yang tidak dimiliki Chil Sook. Mi shil mempermainkan pikiran Chil Sook lagi. Chil Sook minta waktu untuk berpikir dan Mi shil tidak tahu apa Chil Sook memakan perkataannya atau tidak. Chil Sook meninggalkan kediaman Mi shil dan memanggil So Hwa.

So Hwa terbangun seperti merasa ada yang membangunkannya. So hwa menemani Deok Man tidur. Ia membelai rambut Deok Man yang tertidur dan berkata agar Deok Man mimpi indah dan ia akan kembali ke tempatnya. (Tirza: it's so sweet..). Saat So Hwa meninggalkan kediaman Deok Man, Chil Sook berada di jalan keluar dan memanggilnya, So Hwa kaget melihat Chil Sook ada di luar malam2 dan Chil Sook lari ke arah So Hwa dan menghentikannya. Chil Sook bertanya apa So Hwa sudah dapat berbicara dan So Hwa mengatakan sudah. Chil sook memanggilnya tapi So Hwa melarikan diri, tapi So Hwa berhenti dan ingat bahwa Chil Sook pernah memintanya untuk pergi jauh ke gunung dan hidup bersama. Chil sook berkata pada dirinya sendiri dia tidak mengerti mengapa ia selalu memikirkan So Hwa dalam hatinya atau apa So Hwa akan menerima perasaannya.

So Hwa kembali untuk mencari Chil Sook tapi ia sudah pergi. Chil Sook kembali menemui Mi Shil dan berkata ia bersedia menerima tawaran Mi Shil. Mi shil senang sekali. Mi Shil berjanji ia akan menghargai kesetiaan Chil Sook dengan posisi tinggi di Hwa Rang untuk mengganti semua penderitaan Chil Sook selama 20 tahun. Chil sook tidak begitu yakin. Chil Sook pergi dan berpikir apakah pada akhirnya menjadi pihak Mi Shil adalah takdirnya, saat ia pergi So Hwa memotong jalannya. Chil Sook akan pergi saat So Hwa memanggilny dan mengejutkannya.

So Hwa dan Chil Sook bertemu diam2. So Hwa berkata ia sedikit takut melihat Chil Sook tadi. Chil Sook bertanya apa So Hwa benar2 sudah bisa bicara. So Hwa mengangguk. Chil sook senang So Hwa sudah sehat. Chil sook bertanya apa So Hwa ingat kejadian di gurun. So Hwa berkata dia hanya ingat bahwa Chil Sook adalah orang yang telah menyelamatkan nyawanya, mengantarnya pulang ke Silla dan ia akhirnya dapat bertemu kembali dengan Deok Man. So Hwa sangat berterima kasih dan membungkuk pada Chil Sook. Chil Sook berkata mereka harus kembali ke dunia yang menjadi milik mereka sendiri. So Hwa menyatakan bahwa sekarang ia melayani Putri Deok Man dan Raja sementara Chil Sook kembali melayani Mi Shil sebagai ksatrianya. Benar2 menyedihkan melihat kedua kekasih itu berpisah dan kembali ke tempatnya masing2 sambil saling memandang.

Kemudian persiapan besar2an dipersiapkan untuk pengangkatan Chil Sook sebagai Wonsanghwa. Seok Bum dan resimennya menemui Ho Jae dan bertanya apa yang dapat ia bantu. Ho Jae berkata semuanya sudah siap. Pelayan bertanya mengenai posisi kursi dan Ho Jae berkata biarkan seperti itu saja. Kursi itu milik Guk Seon. Kapten Hwa Rang berkata bahwa kursi itu dibiarkan kosong untuk menghormati Guk Seon.

Tiba-tiba ada keributan saat Nang Do melarang Moon Noh masuk ke Hwa rang dan berkata ini bukan tempat untuk orang biasa sepertinya. Joo Bang dan Go Do mencoba menahan Moon Noh. Moon Noh tahu itu dan minta mereka minggir. Joo Bang dan Go do mulai berkata Moon Noh paling hanya ingin makan gratis saja di dalam, saat yang lain minta Moon Noh pergi dengan keras. Joo Bang mencoba membujuk Moon Noh untuk pergi dan minta Go do menyingkirkan Moon Noh, tapi Go Do tidak mampu mendorong Moon Noh satu inci-pun.

Salah seorang Nang Do melapor pada Ho Jae ada orang yang mencoba menerobos. Ho Jae kesal dan Seok Bum berkata ia akan mencoba menyelesaikan masalahnya. Sebelum Ho Jae selesai berbicara, pintu gerbang terbuka lebar dan Joo Bang dan Go Do terbang melalui gerbang. Pasukan Hwa Rang menghunus pedang mereka. Joo Bang dan Go Do tidak tahu apa yang menghantam mereka. Al Cheon kaget melihat Moon Noh yang masuk ke dalam dengan anggun.

Mi Shil mengenalkan Chil Sook pada Deok Man, dia tahu Deok Man mengenal Chil Sook. Deok Man mengiyakan mereka sudah saling mengenal dengan baik dan mereka suka dengan hal-hal yang sama beberapa waktu lalu. Mi shil berkata jika Raja mau terbuka mengenai kelahiran kembar, maka pengejaran itu tidak perlu terjadi. Mi Shil berkata, Chil Sook akan diangkat menjadi Wonsanghwa dan Deok Man tahu. Deok Man berkata kemampuan Chil Sook untuk mengejar Deok Man memang akan lebih berguna jika digunakan dalam Hwa Rang. Dia yakin Hwa Rang akan meningkat pesat. Mi Shil harus memaksakan senyum diantara giginya dan Mi Shil bertanya apa upacara sudah siap dan mengajak Deok Man untuk berangkat saat Bo Jong masuk dan lapor ada penyusup.

Moon Noh masuk dan Ho Jae marah dengan kekurangajaran Moon Noh (Tirza: Moon Noh sudah pergi 20th, jd Ho Jae belum pernah melihat wajah Moon Noh, cuma namanya. Ho jae diangkat saat Yu Shin dan Deok Man mulai masuk ke Seorabeol). Ho Jae minta kapten Hwa Rang untuk melayani Moon Noh. Para Hwarang membentuk formasi dan Moon Noh dengan mudah mengalahkan mereka. Kim Yu shin lari dan bertanya ada apa. Guk San Heun dan Dae Pung berkata ada orang yang menerobos dan ilmu pedangnya hebat sekali.

Kemudian Deok Man, Mi Shil dan Chil Sook tiba. Kim Yu Shin dan resimen Yonghwa memberi salam pada Deok Man. Mi Shil minta gerbang dibuka dan Yu Shin memerintahkan gerbang dibuka. Deok Man masuk dan melihat Moon noh berdiri di tengah lapangan dengan para Hwarang yang bergulingan di sekelilingnya. Moon Noh berbalik dan memperlihatkan diri. Deok Man dan Kim Yu shin mengenalinya sebagai tabib di desa Yangji. Deok Man minta Kim yu Shin meyakinkan apa benar itu tabib waktu itu.

Salah seorang kapten Hwa Rang melapor pada Mi Shil, orang itu yang telah mengacau. Mi Shil mendekati Moon Noh dan menghadap pada Moon Noh dan berkata sudah begitu lama tidak berjumpa Guk Seon. Deok Man dan yang lain terkejut karena ternyata orang itu adalah Guk Seon Moon Noh. Moon Noh membalas salam Mi Shil. Mi Shil berkata betapa senangnya mereka mendapat kunjungan dari Guk Seon Moon Noh. Moon Noh berkata ia hanya lewat dan mendengar tentang upacara pengangkatan Wonsanghwa. Moon Noh berkata ia merasa lega karena masih memiliki kursi di Hwa rang.

Mi Shil meyakinkan Moon Noh, bahwa dia akan mendapatkan kursinya karena mereka selalu menunggu kehdiran Moon Noh. Moon Noh berkata pada Mi Shil sudah lama sekali mereka tidak bertemu. Mi Shil menanyakan tujuan Moon Noh.

Mi Shil berkata dibawah Raja Jinheung mereka sudah menetapkan dasar Hwa rang bersama dan tidak melupakan Moon Noh atas peristiwa Raja Jinji. Mi Shil juga merancang ikatan kekeluargaan antara Moon Noh dengan sepupunya Lady Yoon yang membuat Moon Noh mendapat status Jingol.

Moon Noh membenarkan bahwa ia memiliki hubungan dengan Putri Gaya dan menjadi Jingol. ia berterima kasih pada Mi Shil. Lalu mengapa Moon Noh melakukan hal itu, yaitu membiarkan Raja Jinpyeong melarikan putri kembarnya dan mengapa sekarang Moon Noh kembali ke seorabeol, tepat saat putri kembar itu mendapat status-nya kembali. Moon Noh berkata bahwa ayah Lady Yoon adalah Jenderal Geochilbu yang sangat ia kagumi dan hormati dan juga pembimbing spiritualnya. Moon Noh berkata saat ia hanya Hwarang biasa, pada jaman Raja Jinji. Ayah mertuanya pernah bertanya apa Moon Noh tidak mengikuti Mi Shil saja. Tapi kemudian, Lady Maya kembali dan diangkat menjadi Ratu dan membuat Mi Shil tersingkir dengan ambisinya menjadi Ratu. Mi Shil bertanya apa maksud Moon Noh. Moon Noh berkata saat anak kembar bintang Gaeyang lahir, ayah mertuanya meninggal dunia. Mi Shil bertanya apa Moon Noh mencurigainya. Moon Noh hanya bingung dengan semua peristiwa itu dan ia memutuskan untuk meninggalkan istana.

Moon Noh berkata ia akan menjadi penilai pemilihan Pungwolju.

Deok Man melihat So Hwa menghindari Moon Noh. So Hwa berkata bahwa Moon Noh memintanya menunggu di Hangju karena ia akan menemui So Hwa. Tapi So Hwa malah membawa Deok Man ke gurun. Deok Man bertanya mengapa So Hwa melakukan itu. So Hwa tidak mau Deok Man kembali ke Silla. Raja memintanya untuk menjaga agar Deok Man tetap hidup dan memelihara Deok Man seperti putrinya sendiri.

So Hwa ingat Deok Man pernah menyebut tentang murid Moon Noh dan bertanya apa namanya Bi Dam. Deok Man membenarkan dan So Hwa berubah pucat. Deok Man bertanya mengapa So Hwa seperti itu saat mendengar Bi Dam. So Hwa berkata bukan apa2. Dia ingat saat Bi Dam kecil membelai Deok Man saat masih bayi. Moon Noh memanggil Bi Dam dan bertanya apa menurut Bi Dam, Deok Man kecil itu lucu. Moon Noh berkata Putri Raja ini mungkin suatu saat akan menjadi teman hidupnya. So Hwa kaget dengan usulan Moon Noh. Moon Noh berkata kejadian ini mungkin kebetulan, Moon Noh berpikir ini adalah panggilannya, So Hwa ingin minta penjelasan. Moon Noh menjelaskan langit mempercayakan anak ini padanya yang memiliki karakter Mi Shil dan akan mengubah Putri ini menjadi Ratu yang adil dan bijaksana dan disampingnya akan berdiri garis keturunan Raja Jinji, Bi Dam dan akan menuntunnya menjadi Wang Jae.

(Wangjae adalah Pangeran pendamping Ratu. Jadi sepertinya Bi Dam akan menjadi Pangeran Pendamping saat Putri Deok Man menjadi Ratu)

So Hwa berkata bahwa Bi Dam adalah putra Mi Shil. Moon Noh membelanya bahwa Bi Dam adalah anak yang dibuang Mi Shil. Raja Jinji sudah meminta Moon Noh untuk menjaganya. Moon Noh berjanji ia akan membesarkan Bi Dam untuk memenuhi ambisi besar Raja Jinheung yang belum tercapai. Moon Noh berkata harus seperti itu karena itu sudah tertulis dalam bintang dan takdir anak2 ini.

So Hwa kemudian bertanya pada Deok Man seperti apa Bi Dam itu. Deok Man bertanya mengapa So Hwa ingin tahu tentang Bi Dam. So hwa berkata bukan apa2 karena Bi Dam sepertinya tidak dapat diprediksi. So Hwa bertanya apa Bi Dam tidak mempedulikan status Deok Man sebagai Putri saat mereka bertemu dan Deok Man membenarkan. Bahkan saat ia tahu kebenarannya, ia tidak terlalu terkejut dengan kenyataan itu.

Seol Won heran dengan permintaan Moon Noh sebagai juri dalam pertandingan Bi Jae untuk posisi Pungwolju. Sesuai dengan tradisi, Bo Jong yang akan menjadi Pungwolju karena jabatannya sekarang adalah Deputi di Hwa Rang, tapi karena Putri Deok Man adalah penguasa Hwa Rang, akan terlihat kontroversial tapi karena Moon Noh yang ingin mengujinya maka mereka tidak perlu cemas karena ini adalah Guk Seon dan yang lain juga tidak punya alasan untuk protes. Mi Shil bertanya apa Seol Won juga menyarankan Bo Jong untuk mengikuti Bi Jae karena dengan skillnya dia pasti akan menang. Mi shil tahu Gukseon tidak akan melakukan kecurangan. Seol Won setuju, Moon Noh bukan orang yang suka berbuat curang (kaya mereka ). Mi Shil berkata dengan cara ini, semua kekacauan yang disebabkan oleh Moon Noh akan dapat diselesaikan.

Moon Noh menemui Mi Shil dan bertanya apa Mi shil setuju dengan usulnya. Moon Noh berjanji akan bersikap adil. Mi shil percaya. Moon Noh akan pergi dan Mi Shil memanggilnya kembali tapi kemudian membatalkannya dan meminta Moon Noh pergi. Seol Won datang dan bertanya mengapa Mi Shil tidak menanyakan mengenai Pangeran Hyeongjong yang dijaga Moon Noh. (Pangeran Hyeongjong adalah nama resmi Bi Dam sebagai Pangeran).

Mi Shil berkata ia sudah membuang anak itu dan tidak tertarik. Seol Won Rang bertanya apa Mi Shil memperhatikan anak yang bernama Bi Dam itu dan apa mereka perlu memeriksanya. Mi Shil berkata Seol Won tidak perlu mengurus masalah kecil dan konsentrasi pada Bi Jae saja.

Pengumuman tentang Bi Jae sudah dikeluarkan. Mereka harus memilih Pungwolju ke-15. Bi Jae akan dinilai oleh Guk Seon Moon noh. Bi jae akan dibagi menjadi 3 bagian, dan bagian pertama akan diadakan 3 hari lagi di Aula Yeon Seon. Mi Shil berharap semua Hwarang melakukan yang terbaik untuk Bi Jae. (Aula Yeon Seon didirikan oleh Mi Shil)

Para Kapten Hwarang heran dengan keputusan ini. Mengapa Guk Seon Moon Noh dan bukan Won Hwa yang akan menilai Bi jae.

Seok Bum berkata bukan masalah karena hasilnya sudah diketahui bahkan sebelum Bi Jae. Seok Bum berkata Bo Jong tidak pernah kalah dalam Bi Jae. Al Cheon berkata tidak ada seorangpun yang tahu hasilnya. Al Cheon berkata, Bo Jong belum pernah berhadapan dengan Kim Yu Shin. Bo Jong menghadapi Kim Yu Shin dan berkata mereka harus menyelesaikan urusan antara mereka. Dia berharap untuk bertarung dengan Kim yu Shin. Mereka saling memandang dengan tajam.

Joo Bang merasa gemetar melihat konfrontasi Bo Jong dan Kim Yu shin. Yang lain berpendapat kemampuan Kim Yu Shin masih dibawah Bo Jong dan merasa tidak terlalu menarik dilihat karena akan berat sebelah.

Deok Man bertemu Moon Noh dan dia berkata ia berasal dari gurun Taklamakan mencarinya di Gyerim dan akhirnya sekarang mereka bertemu. Moon Noh heran Deok Man pergi ke Gyerim mencarinya. Deok Man tersenyum waktu itu ia berpikir Moon Noh adalah ayahnya. Deok Man berkata meskipun dia tahu sekarang bahwa itu tidak benar tapi dia masih merasa akhirnya ia bertemu juga dengan ayahnya yang ia rindukan, ia merasa aman.

Moon Noh bertanya mengapa Deok Man menantang dan menganggap rendah Mi Shil dan kemudian mengambil kembali statusnya sebagai Putri Raja dengan memanipulasi ramalan. Deok Man tidak dapat menjawabnya. Moon Noh tahu Deok Man berkeras dengan pembangunan Cheomseongdae. Moon Noh bertanya apa definisi menjadi pemimpin di pikiran Deok Man dan apa yang dipercaya Deok Man mengenai tentang ambisi besar Silla.

Moon Noh tahu Deok Man berduka atas kematian Cheon Myeong tapi pemimpin tidak boleh mencoba balas dendam. Deok Man bertanya apa maksud Moon Noh. Moon Noh tidak setuju dengan niat Deok Man menjadi Ratu Silla. Moon Noh berkata ada banyak alasan, tapi yang sudah diutarakannya tadi adalah salah satunya. Itulah mengapa Moon Noh tidak dapat mendukung Deok Man. Jadi kalau Deok Man berkeras, dia harus membuktikan kalau ia lebih baik dari Mi Shil.

Moon noh pergi dan dia bertemu So Hwa. Moon Noh bertanya bagaimana So hwa dapat melarikan diri dan menghindarinya. Moon Noh berkata betapa banyaknya rencana yang gagal karena kepergian So hwa. So hwa bertanya apa yang dimaksud Moon Noh adalah perjodohan Deok Man. So Hwa tidak setuju Deok Man tidak boleh dengan orang itu, karena mereka berdua tahu putra siapa dia. So Hwa tidak setuju bagaimana mereka bisa berjodoh. Saat itu Bi Dam mendekat dan mendengar pembicaraan mereka. So Hwa berkata ia mungkin bodoh, tapi hal ini tidak bisa dibantah. So Hwa berkata Raja sudah memerintahnya untuk meninggalkan Istana agar Deok Man dapat hidup dan jauh dari intrik istana dan hidup normal. Bagaimana So Hwa dapat mengijinkan Deok Man menikah dengan Bi Dam.

Bi Dam terkejut mendengar mereka menyebut pernikahan antara Deok Man dengan dirinya. So Hwa bertanya apa Moon Noh masih memiliki visi yang sama seperti sebelumnya. Moon Noh tidak dapat mengatakan dengan yakin tapi ia merasa takdir mereka adalah untuk bersatu dan ia berpikir itu adalah tugas dan tanggungjawabnya. Moon Noh berkata karena apa yang dilakukan So Hwa, dia tidak membesarkan Deok Man dan Bi Dam tidak menjadi yang ia harapkan. Bi Dam berjalan pergi dan bertanya apa karena apa yang telah terjadi jadi Moon Noh masih mengingat insiden itu.

Waktu itu, Moon Noh mencari Bi Dam dan menemukan Bi dam pingsan dalam gua penuh orang sekarat. Moon Noh membawa Bi Dam keluar dan bertanya apa Bi Dam tidak apa2 dan tidak luka. Bi Dam berkata bahwa dia sudah membunuh semua orang itu. Moon Noh shock.

Bi Dam memikirkan rancangan pernikahannya dengan Deok Man dan bertanya siapa dirinya sebenarnya. Dan jika demikian berarti ia memiliki hak atas takhta Silla.

Deok Man juga memikirkan pertanyaan Moon noh. Moon Noh berpikir apa mungkin Deok Man ada di sini hanya untuk balas dendam dan itu tidak membuatnya menjadi penguasa.

Ratu Maya datang menemui Deok Man dan bertanya apa yang dipikirkan Deok Man. Deok Man berkata bukan apa2. Deok Man bertanya kapan keponakannya Kim Chun Chu akan datang. Ratu Maya juga gelisah karena Kim Chun Chu dan bertanya apa Deok Man benar2 ingin bertemu dengannya. Deok Man ingin meminta agar Kim chun Chu memaafkannya. Deok Man merasa bersalah karena kematian Cheon Myeong, sehingga Kim Chun Chu kehilangan ibunya. Ratu menghibur Deok Man agar tidak terlalu cemas.

Putri Man Myeong menemui anaknya dan bertanya apa yang dipikirkan Kim Yu Shin. Yu Shin berkata bukan apa2. Putri Man Myeong tahu besok adalah pertandingan pertama Bi Jae. Putri Man Myeong mengatakan satu ungkapan : Jin In sa Dae Cheon Myeong, lakukan yang terbaik dan serahkan pada kehendak Tuhan.

Pertandingan pertama untuk memilih Pungwolju, dan semua kapten Hwarang menyiapkan nangdonya. Moon Noh sudah tiba di Aula Yeol Seon. Kim Yu Shin heran, Seok Bum dan Bo Jong juga segera ke Aula Yeol Seon.

Di Aula Yeol Seon,
Semua duduk. Ho Jae berdiri dan Guk Seon akan mengumumkan peraturan dan format pertandingan. Kemudian Ho jae mengumumkan bahwa pertandingan final adalah pertandingan bela diri. Moon Noh akan memberikan pertanyaan untuk bagian pertama.

Moon Noh : Kalian semua harus melewati gerbang Hwa rang sebelum tiba di sini.
Bo Jong : Ya
Semua : Ya

Moon Noh : Kalau begitu, kalian semua pasti melihatnya.

Deok Man realise as she looks towards the direction of So Hwa calling on her & she is surprised to see So Hwa approaching her & Joo Bang & Go Do is surprise that So Hwa has survive the escape ordeal. Deok Man mumbles Mother & stunned that her eyes confirm & recognise So Hwa as she run towards her shouting for So Hwa as So Hwa answer her back in call then in warmth embrace as they shed tears of longing & miss as they reunion. Deok Man wants So Hwa to confirm that if she is indeed So Hwa her mother & asked where So Hwa has been all this years as she thought she had died from suffocation in the quick sand in that sand storm. So Hwa said she didn’t & managed to survive the ordeal & is alive & well

Joo Bang tells that So Hwa can now really speaks since they knew that she was silent. Go Do is glad how things turn out that So Hwa was able to open her vocal chords when she saw Deok Man & cure her. Deok Man & So Hwa can only embrace in happiness. Kim Yu Shin & Al Shin just look & wonder. Dae Pung & Guk San Heun caught up while chasing So Hwa’s pursuer & is glad that So Hwa is now in save hands of Deok Man & express their relief. The So Hwa pursuer was a step too late & failed in their attempt to capture So Hwa & is disappointed that So Hwa had reached the embrace of Deok Man & leaves. Chil Sook comes to the union scene to find that So Hwa is with Deok Man. So Hwa went back to look for Chil Sook by then he already left. Chil Sook went back to Mi Shil to give his answer to Mi Shil that he will do it. Mi Shil praises his wise choice of decision. One of the Nang Do tell Ho Jae that there is some trouble in the gate where a person refuse to move from the entrance & wants to enter the premises. Guk San Heun said that someone had gate crash Hwa rang ground & stirring up trouble. Dae Pung said that the person is really fantastic in martial art skill.

Then Deok Man, Mi Shil & Chil Sook comes to Hwa Rang’s grounds as Kim Yu Shin & Yong Hwa Hyangdo greets Deok Man. Mi Shil asked the gate to be open as Kim Yu Shin instruct the gate to be open. Deok man enters to find Moon Noh standing while the rest are moaning on the ground. Moon Noh turns around & reveal his identity. Deok Man & Kim Yu Shin recognise Moon Noh as she recalls Moon Noh as that physician who was treating the plague victim in the village & Moon Noh asking them to leave because of the plague, but Kim Yu Shin said that unforeseen circumstances they are force to remain in the Yangji village for refuge. Deok man asked for confirmation from Kim Yu Shin where he confirm that the person in front of them is indeed the physician from Yangji village

One of the Hwa rang Captain whispers to Mi Shil that Moon Noh was the person who suddenly sprang from nowhere & interfered in executing So Hwa.
