China's Lu Chunlong won the Men's Trampoline gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Tuesday. Lu scored the winning 41.00 points, while Canada's Jason Burnett took the silver with a score of 40.70 and Dong Dong of China took the bronze with 40.60 points.

The 60kg final was a head to head clash between Athens 55kg champion Mavlet Batirov of Russia and reigning European champion Vasyl Fedoryshyn of Ukraine. Batirov converted to 60kg after Athens Triumph and found instant success in this new category. Twenty-seven-year-old Fedoryshyn is in his prime. He has won three European Championships in 2005, 2007 and 2008.

However, he hadn't had much success in the more important international events, until Tuesday. After defeating Japan's Matsunaga Tomohiro in the 55 kilogram final, Henry could not contain his joy. Radoslav Velikov of Bulgaria and Besik Kudukhov of Russia both took bronze in the 55kg class.

Steiner lifted a total of 461kg, 203kg in the Snatch and 258kg in the Clean and Jerk, to beat Chigishev by one kilogram for the gold.


Zou Kai of China wins Horizontal gold medal - Zou Kai of China won the Horizontal gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Tuesday. Zou Kai scored 16.200 points for the gold, the ninth for the Chinese gymnastics team at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Shawn Johnson wins the Beam title - Shawn Johnson of the United States won the gold medal in the Beam event at the Olympic Gymnastics tournament here on Tuesday. Shawn Johnson collected 16.225 points for the title, edging her fellow American Nastia Liukin to the second place at 16.025. China's Li Xiaopeng wins gold in the Men's Parallel Bars - Li Xiaopeng of China won the gold medal in the Parallel Bars with a score of 16.450 points at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Tuesday. Leszek Blanik of Poland wins Men's Vault gold - Polish gymnast Leszek Blanik claimed the Men's Vault title with 16.537 points at the Beijing Olympic Games on Monday. Jan Frodeno of Germany won the gold medal in the Men's Triathlon in one hour, 48 minutes and 53.28 seconds.

Simon Whitfield of Canada came second at one hour, 48 minutes and 58.47 seconds, and the bronze winner was Bevan Docherty of New Zealand, who finished in one hour, 49 minutes and 5.59 seconds.
