Joyce Jacobi, a 21-year old law student & Geraldine Higuera, a 2o-year old physical therapist were crowned Miss International & Miss Earth Panama 2009


PANAMA CITY, Jun 17, 2009 – Joyce Jacobi, a 21-year old law student from David (Chiriquí) and Geraldine Higuera, a 2o-year old physical therapist from La Chorrera, were crowned Miss International and Miss Earth Panama respectively during the finals of the Bellezas Panamá beauty contest held at the Centenario ballroom in the Vasco Núñez de Balboa Convention Center in Panama City.

Jacobi (left), stands 1.73 m in height and will represent Panama at the Miss International 2009 beauty pageant to take place in Japan and Macau, next November; and Higuera (right), stands 1.71 m tall and will compete in the Miss Earth 2009 contest to be held in Manila, Philippines, in October.

The remaining finalists were Silvia Castro and Stephanie Tom. 13 women competed in the annual event, organized by Tania Hyman's Models and Talents.
