As usual each week during the results show, American Idol will have to say goodbye to one of the contestants. Now that the show is already down to top 6 finalists, who will be voted off. From the 38 million votes finally the results of American Idol Top 6 for this seaon has been announced during the results show by Ryan Seacrest.



Yesterday all the top 6 finalists sang songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber or known as Lord Webbie since it is a "musical week". Before the results was announced, Andrew Lloyd Webber played the piano as the Top 6 sing "All I Ask of You."

The results has been announced and:

David Archuleta and David Cook are safe.

Syesha Mercado and Brooke White are brought to the stage and Brooke White is announced safe. But Syesha Mercado is in the bottom two. I thought Syesha performed well last night. Can't believe this is for real though. I was thinking Brooke White might be in the bottom two but the final decision who will be safe are in the voters hand.



Next both Carly Smithson and Jason Castro are brought up to the stage and Jason Castro is safe too. This means Carly Smithson together with Syesha Mercado are both in the bottom two. They sing Lloyd Webber songs again before the final results.Based from the performance from the two finalists, they shouldn't be in the bottom two. Don't you agree? They performed well last night.



Syesha Mercado is safe and Carly Smithson is eliminated for this week. It is another surprising results week. The remaining five finalists who have made it through this round are:

David Archuleta
David Cook
Brooke White
Jason Castro
Syesha Mercado

I wonder what songs the Top 5 finalists are going to perform next week. Time flies and in no time American Idol for this season will come to Top 2.
