VIVIAN NORONHA CIA OF BRAZIL IS THE NEW HISPANIC-AMERICAN QUEEN 2008

Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA — In an official press note released on Friday, December 26, Promociones Gloria, the company responsible for the election of Hispanic-American Queen (Reina Hispanoamericana), has declared that Vivian Noronha Cia of Brazil has officially replaced Mexico's Laura Zuñiga as the new Hispanic-American Queen 2008.

Laura, who originally won the pageant in Bolivia in October, was recently arrested with suspected gang members in a truck filled guns and ammunition in the state of Sinaloa. She is the first Hispanic-American Queen to lose her title.

Vivian Noronha Cia of Brazil, the runner-up who became queen, is a Dentist and professional model from Umuarama, Paraná state. She was also the 1st runner-up in Miss World Brazil 2008 and will represent her country at Miss Tourism Queen International 2009, on May 28, in Zhengzhou, China.

The new Hispanic-American Queen will travel to Bolivia in the next few days to receive her crown and sash. Brazil is now the country with most titles from this pageant, formerly known as South American Queen: 5, against 4 of Venezuela.

Congratulations to the new Hispanic-American Queen!
