It was also mentioned from the sources that when Jeff Archuleta wanted to change the lyrics of David’s first song when he performed in The Top 4, "Stand By Me." his father insisted on adding a verse from Sean Kingston’s hit, "Beautiful Girls." By adding a verse from Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls," this has caused an issue about it.

But it was said that the Producers of the song sent Jeff Archuleta an e-mail saying that the lyrics are not to be changed. Somehow or rather, David Archuleta sang the song with Sean Kingston’s "Beautiful Girls" verse during the live performance show.

Another news from sources was David Archuleta's father, Jeff Archuleta has been asked not to participate or have anything to do in the choice of music with David Archuleta or be in the room when David will be working out to prepare and rehearse the songs that he will be singing for his performance show of American Idol.

His father will only be allowed to sit in the audience while watching David perform during the live show. With the "banned", David Archuleta will have to continue his American Idol journey without the help from his father behind stage.
