at the Istana Sri Menanti, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan
Sources from news and newspapers said that Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (born on 2nd. May 1956, Rembau, Negeri Sembilan) is the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan after retaining the Rantau state seat after he won against PKR, Aisah Lamsah with a majority of 3,783 votes for the 12th. General Election in Malaysia recently.
Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan took his oath of office at the Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah on 12th. March 2008 before Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Ja'afar ibni almahum Tuanku Abdul Rahman (born on 19th. July 1922 - Klang, Selangor). He is the son of the first Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, HRH Colonel Paduka Sri Sir Tuanku Abdul Rahman ibni Almarhum Tuanku Muhammad.
Barisan Nasional took a winning of 21 out of the 36 state seats while DAP won 10 seats PKR(Parti Keadilan Rakyat) 4 seats and PAS 1 seat during the 12th. General Election for Malaysia which had taken place on 8th. March 2008.
