Tayong Dalawa (English: The Two Of Us) was a Philippine primetime drama series broadcast on ABS-CBN which featured an ensemble cast. The story revolved around fraternal twin brothers (Jake Cuenca and Gerald Anderson) who share the same name, the same aspirations, and the same lady-of-interest (Kim Chiu). The title of the series was taken from one of Rey Valera’s classic songs, in a manner similar to most Filipino soap operas.

Plot:
David "JR" Garcia, Jr. was born into a poor family. His father, David Garcia Sr., deserted his mother before he was born because his wife, Ingrid Garcia was pregnant with David "Dave" Garcia, Jr. When Audrey King and her family went to Tagaytay for a visit, she fell from a set of high stairs. If David "JR" Garcia Jr. was not there she probably would have died. When he gets help, she asks for his name. He tells her that he is David Garcia, Jr. When she gets to the hospital and is asked by the witnesses and her family who saved her, she says it's David Garcia, Jr. but David "Dave" Garcia, Jr. is the one who is credited. She did not realize that he is a different boy. As she grows up falling in love with Dave, Dave meets his brother and soon best friend, JR. Their families did not approve of the friendship. Dave's family thought that JR just wanted to use Dave for his money. Dave & JR's mother's would not let the two hang out. But their father allowed the friendship to continue, because there was something about JR that David Sr. liked, but he didn't know what it was. Dave's grandmother, Elizabeth, suspects and so does JR's mother, Marlene, but nothing stops these two from becoming best friends. When everyone found out that Dave & JR are twin siblings, the family rivalry became worse. Elizabeth, Dave's grandmother did everything to make sure that the news about the siblings did not come out. She lied and schemed, for Marlene, JR's mother, to go to jail. Audrey's father then sends her to Cebu to study there, but not before she meets JR. He feels like he has seen her before, but does not realize who she is. When Dave and JR were sent to the Philippine Military Academy, they started to get competitive with each other, in academics, and for their true love. When they finally got into battle, will brotherhood save them both, or will envy leave them both to die? Audrey has grown up in love with the wrong person, but when she realizes who her true savior is, will she be able to return her love?

Episode 61 - Ingrid discovers the truth
Ingrid discovers that her mother lied to her regarding the status of her case. After she drops by the hospital to pay her apologies, Marlene confronts her regarding her plans to push through with the case and get everything she has away from her. With such revelation, Ingrid finally loses her mind and breaks down. On the other hand, the conflict between Dave and JR is getting worse. And to add more fuel to the fire, Greta confronts Dave regarding JR and Audrey’s secret love affair. Greta and Ramon’s plot against JR is finally falling down on its rightful place. The only problem left for Ramon now is retrieving Olivia from the hands of the authority before she decides to squeal.
Episode 62 - Audrey runs away
Dave decides to rush his wedding plans with Audrey after confirming his speculations regarding his wife-to-be and JR. Over the phone, Elizabeth talks to Audrey’s father to discuss the upcoming civil wedding, which he immediately approves of. With the abrupt change of events, Audrey and her aunt were forced to look for Baby Robert as soon as possible so that she could be saved from an unwanted marriage. But unfortunately, their plan to retrieve her baby brother from the hands of her tricky father and grandmother failed, leaving Audrey with no choice but to run away from home and escape.
Episode 63 - Elizabeth resorts to violence
Elizabeth grows concerned of the gradual fall of their family caused by Marlene’s revenge. After being confronted by their lawyer regarding their slim chance to win the case, Elizabeth resorts to violence. She hires professional gunmen to take the lives of JR’s family, and finally put an end on their unending battle. Fortunately, Ramon steps in right at the nick of time to rescue Rita, Marlene and Greta who are held capture in their own home. JR is thankful that his family is safe, but Ramon’s great gun handling skills raise suspicion on his part.
Episode 64 - Dave and his family are thrown out of their own home
Ingrid loses everything, including their home, after Marlene claims her rights as David’s legal wife based on the court’s final verdict. Dave breaks down upon hearing the news. He can’t help but blame himself for all the mishaps brought by Marlene and her family. He insists that he is the one responsible for letting them, through JR, enter their lives. With nowhere else to go, the ill-fated family ended up spending their night in a spare room at their lawyer’s house. This incident pushes Dave to his limits. With great hatred building up inside him, he sneaks in their old home to confront and threaten JR and his family. He says that they will not be left unpunished for stealing everything they have.
Episode 65 - Audrey reunites with Baby Robert
Audrey’s father gets arrested after her Aunt files a case against him. With Stanley behind bars, she gets the custody of his youngest brother Robert who had been held captive by his own father for quite a long time. And since her worst dilemma is already resolved, she has no more reason to push through with her marriage to Dave. She and JR can now freely express their love for each other. Unfortunately, Dave doesn’t take this matter lightly. He lost his temper after standing witness to the lovebirds’ display of affection, causing him to put a threat on JR’s life at gun point.
Episode 66 - Audrey drops her charges against his father
Despite everything Stanley had done to Audrey, she decides to drop the charges that she and her aunt Angela filed against him. According to her, regardless of all the ill treatment she had received from him, the fact remains that he is still her father, so she decided to let him go in exchange of a guarantee that he will stay away from her and her siblings. As for Dave, after being declared fit for duty, he is assigned to take over the case of Olivia. Surprisingly, through a series of investigations he had made, he somehow stumbles into a piece of evidence proving that Olivia might have something to do with his father’s death. With this in mind, he ends up dealing too close and too personal on the case, leaving his superiors no other choice but to immediately pull him out of it.
Episode 67 - Rita’s worst nightmare pays her a visit
Unexpectedly, Rita comes face to face with an old friend. A friend whom she decided to give his other grandchild, JR’s twin brother, to in exchange of 10,000 pesos a few years back. The mysterious man, also known as Manuel, immediately reports to Elizabeth the surprising reunion, causing her to worry that her secret might be revealed. It so happened that she was the one who bought the kid that Rita sold, and that kid is no other than Dave. Knowing that the information he has is indeed controversial, Manuel decides on using it to blackmail both Rita and Elizabeth.
Episode 68 - Dave faces the danger of dismissal from service
Dave puts his job at risk after he hallucinates, seeing Audrey held captive, during one of their trainings. Dave tries to pay his sincerest apology, but it is not enough to let him off the hook. JR, too, drops by the office of their superior, begging him to reconsider, but to no avail. According to the higher rank, Dave committed a major offense that manifests a threat to the society as a whole, which could cause his immediate dismissal from service. Aside from Dave, Rita is also facing a rather critical stake. Despite Elizabeth’s plea, Manuel pushes through with his plan of blackmailing Rita. Though scared that the truth might ruin her family, she stands firm on her decision of not taking part on the gamble.
Episode 69 - Marlene hears the truth about JR’s twin
In tears, Rita finally finds the courage to admit to Marlene the mistake she had done a long time ago. After hearing of the said confession, and the truth that the real David John is indeed alive, Marlene, too, breaks down in tears. As Rita expected, Marlene is greatly displeased by the said revelation. In order to make up for her previous mistake, and to gain her daughter’s trust once more, Rita tries to consult Manuel regarding the whereabouts of her real grandson in exchange of 1 million pesos. Manuel immediately tells Elizabeth of the deal Rita is giving him. With no questions asked, she raised the bargain to 2 million pesos in exchange of Manuel’s loyalty. She asked him to tell Rita that her real grandson is already dead. But as devious as he is, he faces Rita and Marlene with plans of telling them the truth, if and only if, they are willing to pay him an additional 4 million pesos.
Episode 70 - Rita agrees to accept the consequences of her mistake
Since Manuel is no where to be found, Marlene is left with no other choice but to consult with her lawyer in order to regain her lost child, David John. Unfortunately, if Marlene decides to push through with the legal process of retrieving David John, her mother, Rita will definitely be involved in the case since she is part of the crime. Upon hearing this, Rita selflessly submits herself. According to her, if this the only way they can gain back JR’s twin brother, together with her daughter’s trust, then she will willingly submit even her whole life just to pay for her sins. On the other end, Dave is finally dismissed from military services after being proven guilty of all the charges filed against him. After losing his job, along with everything he considers important to him, he is left with no one else to blame but JR.
Episode 71 - Rita catches Manuel having a meeting with Elizabeth
JR knows of the truth that his twin brother is still alive after he overhears Rita and Marlene talk about it. For a speedier search, he decides to take action by pulling some strings that could help them search for David John. Ingrid, too, hears of this revelation after she caught Audrey and JR having lunch. And there she shamelessly confronts JR, blaming him for Dave’s dismissal from military service. On the other hand, Rita finally receives a call from Manuel, asking her to meet up. In abidance to his deal with Elizabeth, Manuel confirms to Rita that her real grandson is already dead. Doubtful of Manuel’s honesty, she decides to sneak up on him after the said meeting. Surprisingly, she finds out that Manuel is meeting up with Elizabeth. The said incident immediately raises Rita’s suspicion that Elizabeth has something to do with JR’s twin.
Episode 72 - Rita finds out that Dave is her missing grandson
Rita tells Marlene that Elizabeth may have something to do with their hardships regarding their search for David John. Upon hearing this, she immediately decides to confront Elizabeth. She relentlessly barges in their home, asking for the whereabouts of her other son. And while they were in a heated argument, Dave suddenly comes out, pushing the trespasser out of their household. After she had gone, Dave finally makes up his mind. He decides to make hell out of Marlene’s life by taking part on the supermarket’s workforce. On the other end, Elizabeth’s secret is about to be discovered. Ingrid finds out about her mother’s immediate need of 5 million pesos. After knowing that her mother needs the money in exchange of Manuel’s silence, Ingrid decides to confront him so that she could tell him that they will not give him a single cent. As tricky as he is, Manuel decides to immediately turn the tables. In contrast with his unsettled deal with Elizabeth, he tells Rita the truth that her real grandson is indeed alive; and that it is no other than Dave. She, too, immediately tells the news to Marlene.
Episode 73 - Rita tells Marlene that Dave is her missing son
Rita tells Marlene her new discovery regarding the whereabouts of her other son. She reveals to her that JR’s twin is no other than Dave. In order to make her believe what she just said, she narrates to her all the details Manuel related to him. She explains that Elizabeth tricked them into getting one of her sons. According to her, since Elizabeth knew that they are in great need of cash, she made the most out of the opportunity. She took David John in exchange of Ingrid’s dead son and 10 thousand pesos. Upon hearing this, Marlene breaks down into tears. To her, the emotion she has towards Dave now makes perfect sense. JR stands witness of this incident but Marlene refuses to admit the truth that she just found out. Having this information at hand, Marlene decides to approach Dave. In exchange, he relentlessly shoves her away.
Episode 74 - The truth regarding Dave’s identity is gradually set free
After hearing of the truth, Marlene decides to make up with her long lost son by appointing him as the new president of the supermarket business. In exchange, Dave instantly refuses the proposal as he tells straight to Marlene’s eyes that he despises her. Marlene’s heart is crushed after the said incident. In tears, she admits to Angela the truth about Dave being JR’s twin. On the other hand, Stan tells his father and his grandmother about the 5 million pesos Marlene gave to Angela. Ironically, that same night, two men try to sneak in their home. Fortunately, Audrey catches the said men, thus leading them out the door. During the investigation, Stan confesses of hearing one of the culprits being called “Dave.” Upon hearing this, JR immediately assumes it is no other than his brother, so he goes straight to Dave with a gun at hand. After a heated argument, the two end up pointing a gun at each other. In order to stop them, Audrey interferes, admitting to them that they are in fact twins. Elizabeth too finally finds the courage to admit the truth to her daughter. Unfortunately, the news is too much for Ingrid to take. Upon seeing her family gradually falling apart, Elizabeth ends up having a heart-attack.
Episode 75 - Dave and Ingrid’s DNA test confirms the truth
After the surprising revelation, Ingrid asks Dave to have a DNA test with her in order to prove all of them wrong. Unfortunately, in contrast to what they expected, the result of the test ended up confirming Elizabeth’s confession, which adds up to Ingrid’s paranoia of truly losing everything important to her. The moment Elizabeth wakes up for her coma, she tries to comfort her gloomy daughter. But as Ingrid admits, it doesn’t lessen the pain in anyway. Upon knowing that Marlene and her family are the people who know about the whereabouts of her real son, she drops by their house to ask for directions. On the other side, Marlene is begging JR to reconcile with Dave, thinking that the two’s truce will then lead to Dave’s acceptance of her as his mother. JR agrees with her mother’s appeal, but he stands firm with his decision to stay with Audrey no matter what it takes; this leaves Audrey, too, in a rather tight spot.
Episode 76 - Marlene returns to Ingrid all her wealth
In exchange of Dave’s forgiveness, Marlene hands over to Dave all the documents necessary to return all the wealth she took from Ingrid. In a way, Dave is moved by the said act. Upon hearing the news, Elizabeth is delighted; but in contrast, Ingrid feels doubtful so she decides to turn her back from Marlene’s offer. She returns all the documents to Marlene, claiming that she can have all of it but she will never ever have his son. Persistent to get her son’s affection, she pushes through on handing over the documents to Ingrid. On the other hand, Greta is up for a surprising discovery. On her way to see Ramon, she accidentally finds Olivia in his office. After realizing who the girl is, she immediately takes off. Since she already discovered his secret, Ramon finally confesses to Greta the truth behind David’s death in exchange of her silence.
Episode 77 - Dave finally finds a space in his heart for Marlene
Marlene is persistent to gain Dave’s affection, so she tries to beg Ingrid to let her have it. Ingrid shoves her away in an instant, claiming that Dave will never ever recognize her as his mother. Desperate to seek her son’s acknowledgement, Marlene sneaks up on Dave. Concerned of his surrogate mother’s feelings, he immediately shuts her down; but despite his refusal, Marlene stands still to wait for him to change his mind; not even the rain could stop her from standing outside, waiting. In the end, Dave realizes Marlene’s sincerity, causing him to gradually let his defenses down and submit to his true emotions.
Episode 78 - Audrey breaks up with JR
Persistent to reconcile the warring twins, Marlene finally confronts Audrey. Knowing that the root of Dave and JR’s conflict is no other than her, she instantly asks Audrey to stay away from JR. Left with no other choice, Audrey submits to Marlene’s request. Despite her love for JR, she decides to temporarily break up with JR just to go by his mother’s wish. JR is greatly disappointed by the said decision; but in contrast, Dave seems to be a little excited upon hearing the news. Immediately, he asks Audrey to have lunch with him.
Episode 79 - Dave hears about Audrey and JR’s breakup
Audrey admits to Dave that she and JR are through. As expected, Dave’s anticipation to get Audrey back in his life is raised. In contrast, Audrey is feeling guilty because she knows for a fact that it will never happen because despite their separation, her heart belongs to no other than JR. On the other hand, Manuel’s life is put at risk after a group of gunmen ran after him. Elizabeth is the one blamed for the said incident, given that she has enough motives to do so
Episode 80 - Ingrid tries to kill herself
After Dave shoves enraged Ingrid away, she immediately goes home to try to kill herself. Her greatest fear of losing her son to Marlene is finally brought to life. Fortunately, Elizabeth arrives right on time to stop her. On the other end, Dave who is having a good time with his biological mother accidentally bumps into JR who is then with Audrey. Immediately, Dave grows furious, causing the twins to once again build up a conflict in between. To Marlene’s dismay, she confronts JR to once and for all cut the connection between him and Audrey.
Episode 81 - Audrey breaks up with JR for good
After discovering the plot that Marlene planted on him, Dave immediately confronts Marlene. He feels deceived and manipulated by the plan of JR and Audrey’s so called break up, so he decides to return to his Ingrid’s care. On the other end, after hearing Marlene’s sermon regarding her family’s misfortune due to her, Audrey decides to finally stay away from JR and his whole family. As she files her resignation letter to Dave, she also confronts JR, telling him that she wants to break up with him for good. JR tries to sway her off her decision, but he fails. Aside from Audrey and JR, Greta and Ramon’s relationship too is put at risk after Olivia finally discovers their secret love affair.
Episode 82 - Ramon almost gets busted
Dave sees Ramon arguing with Olivia, so he immediately tips the authorities regarding this. Upon Ramon’s return home, he finds a group of NBI agents patiently waiting for him. JR discovers that Dave is the one responsible for Ramon’s association in their father’s death, so upon sight of him, he immediately confronts him, bringing the siblings into another heated argument. In the interrogation room, Ramon finally admits that he spoke with Olivia in front of the restaurant that morning; but instead of telling them the truth that he knows her, he ends up pretending that the only relation he has towards the suspect is his intention to catch her after he recognizes her as the culprit from the news. After the questioning, he is immediately set free, leaving Dave and Ingrid furious.
Episode 83 - Ramon kills Olivia
Ramon and Dave engage in a fist fight after the latter accuses Ramon of having an involvement in David’s death. After standing witness on the two’s rumble, Marlene too is starting to develop doubts, causing Ramon to completely infuriate. Aside from his problem at home, Ramon faces jeopardy upon realizing that Olivia has taken Greta hostage. Fortunately, he steps in on time to stop Olivia from planting a bullet in Greta’s body. Left with no other choice, he ends up shooting Olivia in exchange of the life of the girl he loves. Accidentally, a bystander witnesses the said crime; but unfortunately, he fails to identify the killer because Ramon’s group has taken his child captive.
Episode 84 - JR starts to doubt Ramon
Like Dave, JR is starting to raise suspicions against Ramon. He admits this observation to him, leading the two of them in a fist fight. Extremely intrigued by his half brother’s strange actions, JR tries to discreetly spy on Ramon. On the said undercover, he accidentally finds Greta wandering around Ramon’s office. Fortunately, Greta immediately makes up an acceptable excuse. Though he decides to let the unexpected meeting pass by, JR pushes through with instinct. At home, he searches Ramon’s room, where he accidentally finds a gun.
Episode 85 - Angela spies on Stan
Doubtful of her nephew’s unusual actions, Angela decides to pry on Stan and his suspicious job; there, she discovers that he is actually working for Ramon. Angela tries to confront him, telling him that he need not work hard. To escape his aunt’s queries, he comes up with a story; he tells her that his father is the one responsible for all his hard work. He elaborates that the very reason he is taking his job seriously is his goal to pay all his father’s debts. Dave and JR too hear of this information; and upon receiving the news, the two couldn’t help but grow very concerned of the lad. On the other hand, Ramon pushes through with his plan to kill Dave after hearing Greta’s confession regarding their past. Luckily, Dave is able to escape the said ambush.
Episode 86 - Stan tips off Ramon's group
In order to prove Dave that he has no intention to cover up his brother, JR agrees to let Ramon undergo a paraffin test in line with Dave’s ambush. Fortunately, Ramon was able to wash the gun shot residue off his hands before the test, thus resulting to his instant release. Upon his return to their hideout, Ramon finds Stan pleading for his discharge from their group; but as expected, the leader of the group disapproves of this request, thus leaving the kid with no other choice but to tip the group to the authorities. Unfortunately, before he is able to drop names, another member of the group catches him making a call.
Episode 87 - Greta accidentally shoots JR
Audrey’s house is burned into ashes after Ramon catches Stan tipping their group to the authorities. Concerned of her ex-girlfriend’s stature, JR immediately offers help, but she refuses to accept it; but despite her rejection of the aid, she has finally decided to get back with JR after realizing how much he really means to her. On the other hand, Greta is growing curious of Ramon’s business after realizing how persistent the authorities are to catch them. In line with this curiosity, Ramon starts training Greta to be part of the business by teaching her how to use a gun. With JR still suspicious of his half-brother’s actions, he continues prying on the lad, leading him to their other warehouse where clueless Greta ends up shooting at him.
Episode 88 - JR is in need of a kidney transplant
Unfortunately, JR’s kidneys were badly injured, and in order to save his life, he is in need of an immediate kidney transplant. Among all of his close friends and relatives, his brother Ramon is proved to be the only viable donor. At first, the lad is doubtful of donating one of his kidneys to his brother; but after thinking it over, he ends up submitting to his mother’s plea. Sadly, his decision still fails to save JR’s life. Since he is proven to physically unfit to undergo the procedure, the doctor denies his offer to help. With JR’s condition growing critical as each day passes by, Audrey tries to ask Dave’s help. On her first attempt, Ingrid relentlessly shoves her away. Unluckily, the same goes on her second try, where Dave personally turns down her request.
Episode 89 - Dave changes his mind regarding helping JR
Dave informs Ingrid regarding his intention to donate his kidney to JR; instantly she grows furious. After hearing that Dave’s decision is greatly affected by Audrey’s request, she immediately confronts the young lady to show her great dismay. It seems that she is firm with her decision to stop Dave from undergoing such a delicate procedure just to save JR’s life; but unfortunately for her, despite her great disapproval, the lad pushes through with his plan. Discreetly, he submits himself to a series of tests in order to find out whether or not he is a viable kidney donor. Upon realizing that he is a perfect match, Dave finally decides to give up a kidney in order to save his twin brother’s life.
Episode 90 - Dave places Audrey on a tight spot
Dave relays to Ingrid and Elizabeth his final decision to help JR. Though enraged, Ingrid ends up submitting to her son’s desire. Upon realizing that an anonymous kidney donor for JR suddenly came up, Audrey somehow grows suspicious; it seems that a part of her believes that the anonymous donor is no other than JR’s twin brother, Dave. Upon learning that her hunch is right, she ends up on a rather tight spot. Unfortunately, Dave is trying to give her a bargain she can not refuse; her life in exchange of JR’s life. With JR’s condition growing more critical as time goes by, Audrey ends up more confused than ever.
Episode 91 - Audrey agrees to marry Dave
Thinking that Dave probably dropped by the hospital to inform the doctors that he will not push through with the donation, Audrey immediately makes up her mind to close the deal with Dave. Though it is against her will, she is certain that she can not afford to let JR die so she agrees to marry Dave in exchange of his certainty to donate one of his kidneys. Unfortunately, Ingrid and Elizabeth are not as thrilled as Dave upon hearing the news; but despite their violent reactions the lad still pushes through with his plans; in fact, he wants the wedding to take place as soon as possible.
Episode 92 - Audrey is officially Dave's wife
Ramon confronts Greta regarding her feelings towards JR; she admits that she still loves him. The said revelation crushes the lad’s heart. In search for revenge, Ramon decides to keep the gun Greta used to shoot JR, so that he could blackmail her, if needed. On the other hand, the day of the wedding has finally arrived. Dave runs in late because he decided to drop by the hospital first before exchanging vows with Audrey. Despite the guilt he feels inside, he pushes through with the marriage; and as the ceremony takes place, JR’s condition at the hospital simultaneously destabilizes. Right after the wedding, Dave receives a call that JR is in an immediate need of his kidney, so he has to undergo the kidney extraction procedure as soon as possible.
Episode 93 - JR hears of Audrey's marriage
Marlene hears of Audrey and Dave’s marriage from Stanley. Upon confirming the news, she couldn’t help but express her great dismay by relentlessly shoving Audrey away during one of her visits. Now that JR has awakened from his coma, Ramon and his group are bound to face a big trouble. Though he fails to identify Greta as his attacker, he clearly remembers Nico, one of Ramon’s men, entering the warehouse where he had found boxes of illegal cargos. On the other hand, Audrey attentively tends on her new husband Dave who is currently undergoing recovery; but despite her physical presence, she remains emotionally absent. Upon his recovery, JR grows suspicious of Audrey’s unlikely absence on his bedside. Tactlessly, Greta relays to JR that Audrey is now married to his twin brother Dave.
Episode 94 - JR tries to sneak out of the hospital
In order to get in touch with Audrey, JR tries to sneak out of the hospital. Audrey intends to help search for the lad, but Dave refuses her to go. Unfortunately, the stress brought about by Audrey’s insistence causes Dave’s condition to undergo several complications. Afraid that the situation may grow worse, Audrey is left with no choice but to give in to Dave’s request. On the other end, JR is bleeding profusely when a group of nurses found him on his way out; fortunately he didn’t suffer severe blood lost. After recovering from his kidney operation, he immediately proceeds to the investigation of the case that almost took his life. With the case in process, Ramon and Greta are starting to live a life filled with fear, considering that JR clearly identified Nico as the primary suspect.
Episode 95 - Ingrid locks up Audrey
JR is pretty much persistent to see Audrey, so despite his condition he decides to barge in Dave’s house to catch a glimpse of the love of his life. Before he even had a chance to enter, Ingrid immediately stands on his way. She tells him that Audrey is in the States with Dave, but JR refuses to believe her. He tries to force his way in the house, but Ingrid immediately stops him with a rather strong push, causing his cut to bleed profusely. Fortunately, Marlene and Rita arrive on time to bring the poor lad to the nearest hospital. Ironically, the said hospital happens to be the same hospital Dave is in. Upon realizing this, Audrey discreetly checks on JR. Ingrid discovers this, and in order to avoid making his son worry about it, she decides to keep Audrey away from JR by forcefully locking her in their house.
Episode 96 - Dave sets Audrey free
JR finally submits himself to the fact that he and Audrey can never be together. After he has been released from the hospital, JR decides to let go of Audrey; instead, he shifts his full attention to the search of his assailant. On the other hand, Dave too comes up with the same decision. After receiving enlightenment from his grandmother, and undergoing a realization that he is in fact enclosing Audrey’s life in an empty box, Dave finally finds the courage to set the love of his life free; but despite Dave’s decision and her great longing for freedom, Audrey decides to stick around in order to repay her priceless debt to him.
Episode 97 - Audrey somehow learns to live with Dave
Dave is surprised to see Audrey after he had set her free. The latter explains to her that she had decided to stick around in order to pay for all her debts. After Dave was released from the hospital, Audrey willingly goes home with him as his lawfully wedded wife. Still confident that he can gain Audrey’s love one way or another, Dave continues to woo the young lady despite her evident love for his twin brother, JR. On the other hand, despite JR’s decision to finally let go of Audrey, his love of his life still pops out of his head every once in a while. It seems that letting go of Audrey is the hardest thing for him to do, so upon catching sight of the two together, he couldn’t help but end up tremendously heartbroken.
Episode 98 - Ingrid's father shows up
JR gets devastated after confirming the news regarding Audrey’s marriage. He talks to his brother Ramon regarding the said matter, and the latter pushes him to fight for Audrey in order to shift his thoughts away from running after his assailant. On the other hand, Dave is doing his best to keep Audrey happy, and with it, the young lady is gradually learning to accept the lad’s kindness and affection. In contrast, Audrey and Dave’s parents are in the middle of a great dispute. Upon realizing that Stanley has something to do with the supermarket’s great financial loss, Ingrid persistently pursues him in order to get her money back, but as she expected, he is nowhere to be found. On the other end, Elizabeth receives a rather surprising visit. While obliviously walking along the road, a man named Greg suddenly pops out of the blue to have a word with Elizabeth. Later on, it is also revealed that the said man is no other than Ingrid’s father.
Episode 99 - Elizabeth asks for Marlene's forgiveness
Since she claims that she is the one responsible for all the mishaps that both their families have gone through, Elizabeth took the initiative to bow her head first. She wants to set things straight, once and for all, so she drops by Marlene’s house to finally ask for her forgiveness. Upon hearing all of her confessions, Marlene and Rita end up accepting Elizabeth’s apologies. After receiving their pardon, Elizabeth also informs them of Dave’s intention to reconcile with them. On the other end, Ingrid is definitely not happy with her mother’s sudden decision to patch things up with Marlene’s family. She is completely against the idea of Dave being in good terms with his biological family—her worst set of enemies for that matter; so upon learning her son’s so called radical decision, she immediately barges in Dave’s new home to throw all the blame on Audrey and her alleged manipulative ways.
Episode 100 - JR gets framed
After hearing a scream from inside Ingrid’s house, JR rushes in the house unannounced to check out what is happening. There he catches sight of Elizabeth on a chair, bloody and lifeless. Before he could inform the authorities regarding the incident, the real killer whacks him from behind, leaving him laid down unconscious. In order to shift the authorities’ investigation, the true culprit purposely places the weapon used to kill Elizabeth on JR’s hand. Unfortunately, Dave and Audrey stand witness on the unexpected scene, thus causing the two to immediately assume that the crime is indeed JR’s doing. And though JR continuously denies the said allegation, Dave and his family pushes through with the case as Elizabeth lies in the hospital under critical condition.
