VACATION IN MALAYSIA - IPOH MALI - HAVE GOOD FOOD AND A PLEASANT STAY HERE

Chinese New Year is just round the corner and have any of you thought of going to Ipoh for a good makan and do your shopping there? Ipoh is one of the promising places that has good nice affordable food. It is hard to name all the good food from Ipoh but some of the famous ones are listed here:

Old Town in Ipoh

House of Mirrors (Thean Chun) - Caramel Custard & Ipoh Kuey Teow
Location: Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh Old Town. Open mornings and afternoons only
The Ipoh Kuey Teow here is pretty good and tasty and it is known for one of the better places to order this if you're there for lunch. If you have difficulty locating where is this kopitiam (coffee shop), you can easily find for the one that has its walls lined with large old mirrors.

Kong Heng - Pork Satay
Location: Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh Old Town. Next to House of Mirrors (Thean Chun). Open mornings and afternoons only. One of the famous one is chee cheong fan and hor fan( kueh teow soup) with shreaded chicken meat cook in soup.
The laksa tasted good here too but not as yummy as some in Kuala Lumpur or Penang. Do find out more about it though and eat here.

Kedai Kopi Sin Yoon Loong - Famour For It's White Coffee
Location: Ipoh Old Town, just walking distance from Kong Fatt Textiles. Open for breakfast and lunch.

Sin Seng Fatt - Mi Curry
Location: Jalan Market, Ipoh Old Town. Open mornings and afternoons only.

Sin Yean Lee - Fried Kway Teow
Location: Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh Old Town. Just a little way from Thean Chun. Close to the road junction - a corner coffee shop.

Restoran Onn Kee (Tauge Ayam) = 51, Jalan Yau Tet Shin, New Town
Kuey teow is melting smooth, chicken lean and tender, soup not as flavourful, tauge not so crisp

Restoran Lou Wong - Ipoh Kway Teow taugeh and steam chicken
Location: No. 49 Jalan Yau Tat Shin . Open from late evening until after the clubbers go home. So if you're looking for a place to eat at 2.00am, you know there is this place call Lou Wong HorFan Nga Choy Kai

Restaurant Foh San - Dim Sum
Location: No. 2, Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar formally used to be known as the Ozbourne Street and is open for breakfast.
Foh San is a place for people who wake up early in the morning and normally old folkes like to come here for their morning breakfast and get together with their friends after their morning exercises. Foh San is also famous and good in making mooncakes for mooncake festival.

NASI KANDAR NASI MERAH - Yong Suan Coffee Shop
Location: 2, Jln Yang Kalsom, Ipoh.
It is open from 9am to 9pm

San Lee How Fook - Kong Kong style Chinese Cuisine
Location: Opposite The Store Shopping Deparmental and supermarket building

Pusing Public Seafood Restaurant - Seafood Restaurant where most chinese wedding and functions will organize their dinner here and it is famous of it's signature prawn dish.

Other than that Ipoh has many other nice and good place to eat and one of the place is in Green Town, Ipoh

Other than all the places that has been stated on the above, there are many other places in Ipoh that are worth going for a try for food either it is spicy or otherwise.
