House of Mirrors (Thean Chun) - Caramel Custard & Ipoh Kuey Teow
Location: Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh Old Town. Open mornings and afternoons only
The Ipoh Kuey Teow here is pretty good and tasty and it is known for one of the better places to order this if you're there for lunch. If you have difficulty locating where is this kopitiam (coffee shop), you can easily find for the one that has its walls lined with large old mirrors.
Kong Heng - Pork Satay
Location: Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh Old Town. Next to House of Mirrors (Thean Chun). Open mornings and afternoons only. One of the famous one is chee cheong fan and hor fan( kueh teow soup) with shreaded chicken meat cook in soup.
The laksa tasted good here too but not as yummy as some in Kuala Lumpur or Penang. Do find out more about it though and eat here.

Location: Ipoh Old Town, just walking distance from Kong Fatt Textiles. Open for breakfast and lunch.

Kuey teow is melting smooth, chicken lean and tender, soup not as flavourful, tauge not so crisp

Restaurant Foh San - Dim Sum
Location: No. 2, Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar formally used to be known as the Ozbourne Street and is open for breakfast.
Foh San is a place for people who wake up early in the morning and normally old folkes like to come here for their morning breakfast and get together with their friends after their morning exercises. Foh San is also famous and good in making mooncakes for mooncake festival.

Other than all the places that has been stated on the above, there are many other places in Ipoh that are worth going for a try for food either it is spicy or otherwise. So why wait and think so long, just pack your luggage and have a good vacation in Ipoh this coming Chinese New Year and when you are on a holiday either with your family or you can just travel alone. It is indeed a promising stay here.
