Malaysia's Share Market Slides 123 points at closing on 10th. March 2008

The BSKL experienced a drastic fall at at 2.58pm today after it reached 130 points or 10 percent of downfall, which was the maximum limit to around 1,166 points.

This lead the trading to stop for an hour from 2.58pm. The trading resumed back after that until its closing time at 123 points. It was a terrible news for the Malaysians.

It has been many years ago which I could even hardly remember when was the last time BSKL had such a bad fall in a day.

As far as I can recall, it is the first time for me hearing share market in Malaysia to stop trading for an hour due to the big drop of the composite index. I heard from the news over Astro at Channel 502 that there are about 901 losers and around 20 gainers with 48 counters unchanged on the Bursa Saham at closing time.

I hope when the BSKL opens tomorrow morning, things will be better. Tomorrow, the STPM results will also be out and all those who have sat for the examination in November 2007 can collect their results after noon. All the best to those who will be taking their results around 15 hours from now, 11th March 2008.

As for the SPM candidates, their results will be out in 38 hours time, 12th March 2008 after 10am. Hope those who are involved will get good results.
