Datuk Seri Abdullah Bin Ahmad Badawi will be Malaysia Prime Minister for another 5 years

It is announced that our 5th Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Bin Ahmad Badawi will continue to be the Prime Minister for Malaysia the next 5 years.

Earlier this morning, 10th. March 2008 Datuk Seri Abdullah Bin Haji Ahmad Badawi took the oath of office at the National Palace (Balairong Seri of the Istana Negara) before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (13th King of Malaysia), His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah for a new five-year term as our Prime Minister.

Datuk Seri Abdullah arrived there at 11am and was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah.

The Position of The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, The Prime Minister and the others (in order of priority):

BN - 140 (Datuk Seri Abdullah retained his hometown, Kepala Batas, Penang seat by defeating Subri Md Arshad of PAS with a majority of 11,246 votes)

OPPOSITION - 82 (DAP 28, PAS 23 AND PKR 31)

OPPOSITION - 195

Barisan National won 140 of the 222 parliamentary seats for the 12th General Election which took place on Saturday.
