Synopsis

Deokman (later known as Queen Seon Deok) was born as a twin but was abandoned as a baby. She was later brought back to the Silla palace, where she joined forces with her twin sister Princess Cheonmyeng to oppose Mi-shil, who wanted to seize power. Mi-shil devised sinister plans to have the two Silla princesses exiled from the kingdom, and in a secretive battle, Princess Chonmyong was assassinated by Mi-shil. However, Princess Deokman shrewdly enlisted the help of General Kim Yusin and eliminated her archenemy Mi-shil. She became the first female ruler of the Silla kingdom.

Deok Man kaget melihat Bi Dam. Guk San Heun berkata bahwa Bi Dam sekarang sedang minta ijin dari Wonsanghwa (Chil Sook) untuk mengijinkannya mengikuti Bi Jae.

Se Jong bertanya apa mereka yakin bahwa Bo Jong akan dapat menjadi Pungwolju. Ha Jong berkata, Bo Jong tidak pernah kalah dalam Bi Jae. Seol Won berkata tidak ada jaminan kemenangan, dalam pertandingan bela diri selalu ada kejutan. Ha Jong berkata apa mereka perlu mempersiapkan sesuatu siapa tahu Bo Jong gagal.

Mi Saeng masuk dengan bersemangat. Mi Shil bertanya ada apa, Mi Saeng mengatur nafasnya dan berkata saat ia menuju tempat ini, ia melihat Bi Dam. Bi Dam menerobos gerbang Hwa Rang dan bermaksud ikut Bi Jae. Se Jong berkata bagaimana Bi Dam berani melakukan itu. Seol Won berkata, sebagai murid Gukseon dia punya kualitas untuk ikut Bi Jae. Ha Jong bertanya apa Bi Dam benar murid Moon Noh atau hanya pelayan saja. Mi Shil diam saja.

Ho Jae berkata pada Bi Dam Bi Jae ini adalah terbatas hanya untuk para Hwa Rang. Ho Jae bertanya apa hak Bi Dam. Bi Dam berkata ia murid Guk Seon. Bi Dam berkata sebagai murid Guk Seon, ia memiliki posisi sebagai Hwa Rang dan hak untuk mengikuti Bi Jae. Ho Jae berkata sudah ada konfirmasi 32 orang Hwa Rang dari perwakilan seluruh negeri. Meskipun Bi Dam memenuhi syarat tapi ia terlambat dan tidak sesuai standar prosedur Hwa Rang. Salah seorang Hwa Rang berkata ini permintaan yang tidak adil, karena mereka semua memenuhi syarat dan sudah berkompetisi dari jauh2 hari. Mereka hanya dengar Bi Dam murid Guk seon dan meskipun benar ia murid Guk Seon, tetap bertentangan dengan dasar2 Hwa Rang. Semua minta Bi Dam pergi.

Bi Dam kemudian mendekati salah seorang Hwa Rang dan meludah di dekatnya dan minta ia keluar dan memprovokasi orang itu. Hwa Rang itu bertanya apa mau Bi Dam dan ia merasa terhina, ia menghunus pedangnya. Bi Dam menyerang Hwa Rang itu dengan kecepatan yang luar biasa sehingga jatuh. Kemudian Bi Dam berkata pada Ho jae bahwa Hwa Rang yang jatuh ke tanah tidak layak mengikuti Bi Jae. Dia bertanya apa ia dapat menggantikannya. Joo Bang dan Go Do menyelinap keluar. Ho Jae berpikir bahwa Bi Dam sungguh berani menggunakan segala cara untuk ikut bertanding. Bi Dam bertanya apa ada yang melihat bahwa Hwa Rang inilah yang menghunus pedangnya dulu.

Moon Noh kaget sekali saat Joo Bang dan Go Do menghadapnya dan memberitahu apa yang dilakukan Bi Dam. Joo Bang minta Moon Noh melihat karena Bi Dam berkata ia murid Guk Seon dan ingin ikut Bi Jae. Moon Noh bertanya Joo Bang yakin Bi Dam mengaku ia muridnya, Joo Bang membenarkan.

Chil Sook berdiri dan bertanya apa Bi Dam benar murid Gukseon. Lalu Moon Noh datang dan bertanya ada apa. Ho Jae berkata bahwa Bi Dam mengaku sebagai murid Gukseon dan ingin ikut Bi Jae. Chil Sook berkata jika Bi Dam memang benar murid Guk Seon, maka ia berhak mengikuti Bi jae, maka jika Moon Noh membenarkan ia akan mengijinkan Bi Dam ikut. Moon Noh dan Bi Dam saling menatap dan berbicara dengan matanya. Bi Dam memperlihatkan bahwa ia harus mengikuti Bi Jae ini. Moon Noh berkata Bi Dam memang benar muridnya. Akhirnya Ho Jae mengumumkan Bi Dam akan ikut Bi Jae. Bi Dam akan menggantikan Hwa Rang yang jatuh tadi. Ho JAe memperkenalkan Bi Dam : Hwa Rang Bi Dam dari resimen Mu Myeong Ji Do atau resimen tanpa nama.

Bi Dam berterima kasih atas ijin berpartisipasi. Ho Jae mengumumkan bahwa ke 32 peserta sudah ditetapkan dan Bi jae akan diadakan siang ini. Mi Saeng berkata bahwa Dae Nam Bo akan segera tiba di Seorabeol. Mi Shil bertanya kapan tepatnya. Mi Shil mendengar bahwa Kim Chun Chu sudah sampai Danhangseong (perbatasan Silla kuno, sekitar 2 jam dari Seoul) mereka sudah menunggu Kim Chun Chu di Seorabeol.

Mi Saeng berkata ia akan memperingatkan Dae Nam Bo nanti jika sudah sampai karena penundaan ini. San Tak datang dan melapor bahwa Bi Jae akan mulai siang ini. Seol won bertanya apa yang terjadi dengan Bi Dam. San Tak berkata, Moon Noh membenarkan jika Bi Dam muridnya. Mi Shil tidak begitu terkejut dan Se Jong berkata bukankah sudah ada 32 peserta. San Tak membenarkan tapi salah seorang Hwa Rang berkelahi dengan Bi Dam dan jatuh ke tanah maka ia dianggap gugur. Jadi Bi Dam mengambil alih tempatnya. Ha Jong bertanya apa ini rencana Moon Noh dengan muridnya, mereka telah berkonspirasi.

Seol Won berkata ini bukan karakter Guk Seon. Ha Jong bertanya bagaimana Seol Won yakin dengan karakter Moon Noh. Seol Won berkata ia akan memeriksa masalah ini. Joo Bang dan Go Do melapor pada Deok Man, Bi Dam benar2 murid Moon Noh. Bi Dam seperti kilat berwarna biru seperti hantu, tanpa menoleh, ia menjatuhkan seorang Hwa Rang ke tanah dan Joo Bang menunjukkan gerakan Bi Dam pada Deok Man. Go Do berkata Bi Dam menggantikan tempat orang yang luka itu. Deok Man ingat Bi Dam berkata padanya, ia akan membuat Kim Yu Shin menjadi Pungwolju.

Para Hwa Rang membicarakan Bi Dam, ia mengaku murid Guk Seon tapi perilakunya tidak baik. Tiba2 seperti hantu Bi Dam muncul di tengah mereka dan bertanya siapa lawan yang akan mereka hadapi. Para hwa Rang berpikir Bi Dam benar2 tidak sopan dengan mereka. Bi Dam berkata apa mereka akan melawannya dan ia berkata siapa yang akan menjadi lawannya harus berhati-hati. Para Hwa Rang berpikir Bi dam gila.

Joo Bang berkata pada Yu Shin jangan terlalu cemas saat Kim Yu Shin mempersiapkan mental menghadapi Bi Jae. Kau sudah cukup berlatih. Semua latihan Yu Shin memukul batu akan berguna. Joo Bang dan Go Do minta Yu shin mengalahkan Baek Eui. Kim Yu Shin berkata mereka sungguh berisik dan minta mereka pergi. Joo Bang bertanya apa Yu Shin merasa tegang syarafnya. Go Do berkata mungkin karena ini ikut sertanya yang pertama dalam Bi jae. Joo Bang berpikir mereka harus menemukan sesuatu untuk meringankan hati Yu shin yang gelisah. Joo Bang menemukan pedang kayu Yu Shin dan membawanya pada Yu shin. Kim Yu shin mengambilnya dan bertemu Al Cheon. Joo Bang dan Go Do memberi semangat pada Al Cheon untuk melakukan yang terbaik karena nangdo Al Cheon dan mereka adalah teman baik. Tapi Al Cheon dan Yu Shin bersikap dingin satu sama lain. Joo Bang berkata Bi Jae pasti sesuatu yang sangat penting sehingga membuat orang sangat tegang. Go Do berkata mereka berdua yang sangat akrabpun tiba-tiba menjadi begitu dingin menakutkan satu sama lain.

Bo Jong tahu Seok bum akan menghadapi Bi Dam dalam ronde pertama. Seok Bum cemas karena ia tahu kemampuan bela diri Bi Dam saat di distrik Iseo. Bo Jong tahu Bi Dam cepat dengan gerakannya, jadi ia minta Seok bum hati-hati. Seok bum akan melakukan yang terbaik dan jika ia gagal, ia akan berusaha untuk tidak cedera sehingga dapat memasuki babak berikutnya. Kemudian Bi Dam muncul di muka mereka dan bertanya siapa yang mereka maksud. Bi Dam seperti hantu gentayangan yang mengganggu para Hwa Rang. Bi dam berkata, Bo Jong dan Seok Bum berasal dari tim yang sama, jadi lebih baik mereka maju bersama sekaligus. Jadi Bi dam dapat membereskan mereka berdua sekaligus. Bi Dam berkata sepanjang yang ia ingat kemampuan bela diri Seok Bum tidak berarti bahkan untuk menyelamatkan nyawanya sendiri.

Seok Bum marah dengan ledekan Bi Dam dan berteriak pada Bi dam karena telah menghinanya. Bi Dam sebaliknya berkata jika Bi Jae adalah pertandingan untuk mencari yang paling bersuara keras maka Seok Bum mungkin akan sukses menjadi Pungwolju dengan suaranya. Bi Dam merasa lucu dan pergi sambil berkata bagaimana orang sependek Seok Bum memilik suara yang begitu keras. Seok bum benar2 merasa terhina dan murka.

Bi Dam menemui Im Jong. Im Jong hampir menghunus pedangnya saat tiba2 Bi Dam melompat mendekatinya dan bertanya apa Im Jong mengenalnya. Bi Dam berkata bahwa Im Jong harus mengenalnya. Im Jong bertanya ada apa dengan Bi dam. Bi Dam bertanya apa Im Jong kapten resimen Ho Guk Seon Do. Ia berkata gurunya Moon Noh dulu adalah kapten resimen yang sama. Moon Noh sudah menciptakan ilmu bertempur khusus resimen ini. Bi dam belum pernah melihat teknik Im Jong, tapi ia berbisik pada Im Jong, jika mereka bertemu saat Bi Jae nanti, sepertinya mereka akan merebutkan siapa yang lebih pantas menjadi murid Guk Seon. Deok Man masuk dan mendengar apa yang dikatakan Bi Dam. Bahwa Im Jong tidak pantas menjadi Kapten resimen ini dan jika ia kalah, ia harus menyerahkan tampuk pimpinan pada Bi Dam. Bi Dam melihat Deok Man. Im Jong dan Bi Dam memberi hormat.

Deok Man memanggil Bi Dam dan bertanya apa maksud Bi Dam dengan semua ini. Apa maksud Putri? Deok Man berkata semua provokasinya, semua taktiknya dan mengganggu para Hwa Rang dengan semua olok-oloknya. Deok Man berkata jika Bi Dam ingin ikut Bi Jae, maka ia harus berlatih. Bi Dam berkata ini adalah persiapan yang terbaik yang ia lakukan. Deok Man heran. Bi Dam berkata ia yakin dengan kemampuannya. Tapi ia belum berpengalaman berhadapan dengan seseorang di Bi Jae, jadi dia harus yakin dengan hasilnya. Deok Man bertanya lalu apa maksudnya. Bi Dam berkata setiap jurus pedang keluar dari dalam hati setiap petarung, maka dengan provokasi, dan mengganggu mental mereka juga dapat mempengaruhi performa permainan pedang mereka. Bi Dam berkata ia mengganggu mereka untuk mendapat hasil yang maksimal. Deok Man berkata taktiknya ini murahan. Bi Dam berkata bahwa Deok Man pernah mengatakan bahwa inti Hwa Rang adalah jangan pernah membedakan antara kehidupan sehari-hari dengan pertempuran. Para Kapten Hwa Rang itu gagal mengetahui aturan itu. Deok Man benar2 tidak dapat mengatakan apapun saat Bi Dam memutarbalikkan kata2nya.

Bi Jae mulai pada siang hari. Bi Dam menghadapi Seok Bum dan melempar Seok Bum ke lantai. Kim Yu Shin dan Phil Dan lolos. Bo Jong juga lolos. Kemudian Al Cheon lolos. Kemudian Bi Dam harus berhadapan dengan bo Jong. (wow..2 anak Mi Shil)

Raja bertanya tentang perkembangan Bi Jae. Kim Yong Chu berkata bahwa Bi Dam juga ikut serta, Ratu Maya bertanya apa Bi Dam adalah anak yang menjadi pengikut Deok Man. Kim Yong Chu membenarkan. Ia juga merupakan murid Guk Seon. Kemudian kasim melaporkan kedatangan Duta Besar Cina yang datang dari Hangju. Raja senang dan bertanya apa Kim Chun Chu juga datang bersama dia. Kasim ragu2 dan ia berkata bahwa Mi Shil sudah mendahului mereka menjemput Kim Chun Chu.

Raja kaget bahwa sekarang Mi Shil menguasai Kim Chun Chu. Ratu Maya bertanya bagaimana Mi Shil dapat menahan Kim Chun Chu. Kim Yong Chu berkata jika Kim Chun Chu sudah berangkat sebelum Duta Besar maka seharusnya Kim Chun Chu sudah tiba di Seorabeol sekarang karena Duta Besar juga sudah sampai. Mengapa ia belum tiba. Ratu Maya mencemaskan cucunya apa mungkin Mi Shil menahan Kim Chun Chu. Raja memerintahkan penyelidikan.

Mi Saeng mendapat laporan bahwa Dae Nam Bo dan Kim Chun Chu sudah melewati Geumohsan dan akan segera tiba di Seorabeol. (Geomohsan, sekarang Namsan di Gyeongju).

Mi Saeng heran, Geumohsan sangat dekat mengapa mereka belum sampai juga. Petugas melapor bahwa Hwa Rang Dae Nambo sudah memberikan posisi mereka. Ia berkata perjalanan jauh sudah membuat Kim Chun chu kelelahan dan sakit sehingga mereka harus beristirahat dan tinggal beberapa hari di Danhangseong untuk pengobatan. Se Jong berkata meskipun begitu, mereka seharusnya sudah tiba di Seorabeol sekarang. Ha Jong juga berkata meskipun mereka jalan kaki, mereka juga seharusnya sudah sampai. Petugas itu ragu2, lalu berkata bahwa Kim Chun Chu tidk bisa naik kuda. Semua shock dan heran bagaimana ia tidak dapat menunggangi kuda.

Mi Saeng berpikir itu omong kosong jika ada orang yang tidak dapat naik kuda apalagi Chun Chu sudah besar. se Jong dan Ha Jong melihat Mi Saeng kemudian Mi Saeng sadar, ia juga tidak bisa naik kuda (bwa...ha..ha). Mi saeng membela diri bahwa biarpun ia tidak bisa naik kuda ia punya bakat yang lain untuk menutupi kekurangannya. Mi Saeng minta Kim Chun Chu dibawa dengan tandu saja.

Dae Nam Bo memimpin rombongan Kim Chun Chu dan terdengar perintah berhenti. Dae Nam Bo melompat dari kudanya dan bertanya ada apa. Kim Chun Chu berkata ia terlalu pusing untuk meneruskan perjalanan dan perlu istirahat. Dae Nam Bo meminta tandu diturunkan. Kim Chun Chu (kelak akan menjadi Raja besar Taejong Muyeol) istirahat sejenak dan menghirup udara dan minta handuk dan air. Kim chun Chu kemudian membasuh wajahnya dan membersihkannya dengan handuk. Dae Nam Bo menunggu dengan gelisah. Ia berkata Kim Chun Chu harus segera meneruskan perjalanan karena mereka sudah ditunggu di Seorabeol. Mereka sudah dekat sekali. Kim Chun Chu berkata bahwa tandunya membuatnya merasa pusing dan ia tidak dapat melanjutkan perjalanan. Ini membuat Dae Nam Bo kesal sekali dengan Kim chun Chu yang cengeng.

Kim Chun Chu memiliki bakat diplomasi yang sangat tinggi dan itu terlihat saat berurusan dengan Dinasti Tang. Sekarang ia mempermainkan penjaganya.

Kim Chun Chu bertanya mengenai Bi Jae yang diadakan di Seorabeol. Dae Nam Bo membenarkan dan Kim Chun Chu berkata bahwa hari ini terlalu panas untuk melakukan perjalanan. Kim Chun Chu mengembalikan handuk basahnya dan Dae Nam Bo seperti ingin memukul wajah Kim Chun Chu.

Babak final Bi Jae, para semi finalisnya : Kim Yu Shin dari resimen Yonghwa akan bertemu Al Cheon dari resimen Bi Jeong Ji Do. Kemudian Bi Dan dari Mu Myeong Ji Do akan bertemu Bo Jong dari Il Wyol Seon Do. Pertandingan semi final akan diadakan sekitar pukul 3-5 sore.


Kim Yu Shin merawat bahunya yang melepuh saat Wyol Ya dan Seo Ji datang dan melihat keadaannya. Seo Ji melihat bahu Yu Shin yang luka dan bertanya apa Yu Shin mampu meneruskan pertandingan. Yu Shin berkata Hwa Rang yang lain juga kondisinya sama. Seo Ji membantu mengobati bahu Yu Shin. Wyol Ya berkata jika Yu Shin berhasil menjadi Pungwolju maka akan mempercepat rencana mereka. Kim Yu Shin harus menang.

Al Cheon juga luka tangannya. Anak buahnya berkata ia akan berhadapan dengan Kim Yu Shin. Al Cheon berkata ia akan melakukan yang terbaik. Jika Al Cheon menang ia akan berhadapan dengan Bo Jong. Bukankah itu akan jadi masalah. Lebih baik Al cheon membuat perjanjian dengan Yu shin demi kerjasama mereka. Al Cheon tidak akan melakukan itu, ia tidak ingin memanipulasi Bi Jae demi keuntungan diri sendiri. Keduanya tidak akan melakukannya karena ini Bi Jae.

Bo Jong berlatih push up. Seok bum datang dan bertanya apa Bo jong baik2 saja. Ia minta maaf karena tidak banyak membantu. Bo Jong menghibur Seok bum dan berkata Bi Dam adalah lawan yang tidak terduga. Seok bum menasihati Bo Jong agar berhati-hati dengan Bi Dam. Bi Dam cepat sekali gerakannya. Seok Bum berkata, Kim Yu Shin danAl Cheon mungkin sudah membuat kesepakatan. Seok Bum berkata bahwa kekuatan terbesar Bi Dam adalah kecepatan refleksnya dan kelincahannya. Tapi Bi Dam sudah terluka pergelangan kakinya. Bi Dam pasti susah menggunakan pergelangan kakinya untuk melakukan gerakan.

Bi Dam...tidur seperti kayu dan mengangkat kaki kanannya agar beristirahat, Dae Pung dan Guk San Heun datang dan membawa air untuknya. Kemudian mereka melihat Bi Dam tidur dengan nyenyak dan tidak peduli dengan dunia, mendengkur, dan tertawa sendiri dalam tidurnya. Guk San Heun berkata Bi dam benar2 tidak memerlukan bantuan dari orang lain. Kemudian mereka melihat luka Bi Dam yang disebabkan oleh Im Jong dan bertanya-tanya apa Bi Dam dapat berjalan dengan luka itu.

Mi Saeng mencari kakaknya dan Mi Shil berkata bahwa Kim Chun Chu belum tiba. Mi Saeng berkata Chun Chu sudah melewati Geumohsan dan sudah dekat sekali. Hanya karena Kim Chun Chu tidak dapat naik kuda dan Mi Saeng berpikir itu aneh. Mi Shil dan Seol Won memandang Mi Saeng dengan aneh. Mi Saeng membela diri bahwa paling tidak ia memiliki kemampuan lain dan tidak seperti Kim chun Chu yang tidak memiliki kemampuan apapun.

Dae Nam Bo mondar mandir saat Kim Chun Chu istirahat. Dae Nam Bo membujuk Chun Chu untuk belajar menunggangi kuda karena itu tidak susah dan semua orang bisa melakukannya. Dae Nam Bo bersedia mengajar Kim Chun Chu naik kuda karena itu pasti sangat menyenangkan. Kim Chun Chu bertanya apa benar menyenangkan. Dae Nam Bo akan memperlihatkannya. Kim Chun Chu berkata ia pernah belajar naik kuda beberapa waktu yang lalu tapi susah sekali dan paling tidak Dae Nam Bo memberikan tali kekang dan ia akan mencobanya. Kim Chun Chu keluar dan belajar naik kuda. Kemudian Dae Nam Bo berkata ia harus menahannya, Kim Chun Chu berkata dia menjadi takut dan ingin turun segera. Dae Nam Bo membujuk Chun Chu agar tinggal di punggung kuda beberapa saat lagi, tapi Chun Chu ingin turun. Saat dibawah Kim Chun Chu berkata belajar naik kuda membuatnya lelah dan ia akan istirahat di penginapan. Dae Nam Bo ..shock!

Kim Chun Chu merasa mual saat di punggung kuda biarpun hanya sebentar, tapi mereka harus segera berangkat tapi Kim Chun Chu berkeras bahwa ia ingin ke penginapan untuk istirahat.

Kim Yu Shin, Bo Jong, dan Al Cheon mempersiapkan diri tapi Bi Dam tidur. Moon Noh datang menemui Deok Man dan bertanya apa ia memerintahkan Bi Dam melakukan ini. So Hwa kaget mendengar nama Bi Dam. Deok Man berkata ia tidak memberikan perintah. So Hwa berkata bahwa Bi Jae akan mulai sebentar lagi dan mereka harus segera berangkat. Deok Man berangkat.

Ho Jae mengumumkan semi final akan mempertemukan Kim yu shin dan Al Cheon. Mereka memberi hormat pada Deok Man. Resimen Yonghwa memberi semangat pada Yu Shin dan resimen Bi Cheon ji do juga sama, mereka menyemangati Al Cheon. Kim Yu shin mulai bertarung dengan Al Cheon. Kim Yu Shin terbukti lebih unggul dan Al Cheon terjatuh dan pingsan. Kim Yu Shin pemenangnya. Kim Yu Shin akan memasuki babak final. Kemudian Kim Yu Shin mengangkat Al Cheon yang pingsan dan mengangkat tangan Al cheon.

Kim Yu Shin dibawa ke belakang untuk istirahat. Resimen Yong Hwa merawat yu shin. Al Cheon masuk dan berkata bagaimana mungkin ia yang kalah bisa berjalan tapi sang pemenang justru terbaring di tempat tidur. Kim Yu Shin berkata tadi benar2 pertempuran yang hebat. Al Cheon berkata Yu shin harus menjadi Pungwolju karena telah mengalahkannya dengan terhormat. Joo Bang berkata al Cheon sebenarnya tidak perlu mati2an seperti itu, tapi anggota resimen Bi Cheon berkata inilah Bi Jae itu. Joo Bang tidak dapat mengerti semua pelukan dan berkata bahwa persahabatan adalah selamanya. Joo Bang merasa semuanya tidak masuk akal.

Berikutnya di Bi Jae, Bo Jong akan melawan Bi Dam. Bo Jong ingat Seok Bum berkata Bi dam itu cepat tapi pergelangan kakinya terluka parah. Bo Jong harus menyerang pergelangan Bi Dam. Bo Jong berkata bahwa kemenangan Bi Jae dan keadaan memihaknya. Kemudian Bi Dam melakukan gerakan yang mirip gerakan Tai Chi. Moon Noh kaget dan Chil Sook melihatnya.

Bi Dam menggunakan kekuatan Bo Jong untuk menyerang Bo jong sendiri. Bi Dam melihat ke arah Moon Noh yang terkejut. Jadi akan ada pemgambilan suara untuk menentukan Pungwolju.

Raja berkata dengan sisitem pemungutan suara, sepertinya Bo Jong akan menjadi pemenangnya. Ratu Maya berkata Kim Yu Shin harus menjadi Pungwolju untuk memperkuat dukungan pada Putri Deok Man. Ha Jong kecewa Bo Jong kalah. Se Jong heran dan Mi Shil shock karena Bo Jong kalah dari Bi Dam. Se Jong bertanya apa yang akan dilakukan Mi Shil. Ha Jong mengingatkan bahwa Yu Shin dan Bi Dam adalah anak buah Deok Man. Mi Shil berkata ia akan pergi ke lokasi Bi Jae. Ha Jong berkata kehadiran ibunya tidak akan berpengaruh pada hasilnya. Deok Man berkata dia akan menerima kekalahan Kim yu shin tapi tidak dengan apa yang direncanakan Bi Dam. Jika itu niat Bi Dam, Deok Man minta Bi Dam tidak memikirkannya, khususnya Yu Shin tidak akan menerima jika Bi Dam mengalah. Deok Man berkata dalam hati, Bi Dam tidak boleh mengalah dalam Bi Jae ini.

Kim Yu Shin bertempur dengan Bi Dam dan menyadari niat Bi Dam dan minta agar Bi Dam benar2 melawannya dan memperingatkan jika Bi Dam mengalah ia akan mati. Bi Dam meminta Kim Yu shin untuk melihat dengan perspektif yang lebih luas, antara apa yanh akan ia raih dengan ambisi Putri Deok Man. Bi Jae ini tidak bisa dibandingkan. Kim Yu shin berkata jangan berani2 meremehkan Bi Jae ini. Mi Shil mendatangi lokasi Bi Jae.

Kemudian Bi Dam jatuh ke tanah dan Kim Yu Shin minta Bi Dam bangun. Kemudian Chil Sook menjadi marah dan turun ke lapangan, ia berkata Kim Yu Shin dan Bi Dam menghina Bi Jae. Chil Sook berkata beraninya kalian menyebut diri kalian sebagai Hwarang! Deok Man takut bahwa Chil sook adalah bagian dari rencana Mi Shil. Chil Sook ingat Seol Won berkata ada kemungkinan Guk Seon mengirim Bi Dam untuk mengalahkan Bo Jong agar Kim Yu Shin berhasil menjadi Pungwolju. Chil Sook meyakinkan bahwa Moon Noh tidak akan melakukan hal seperti itu menodai Bi Jae. Seol Won masih tidak yakin dan berharap ia salah. Tapi tetap saja mencurigakan. Chil Sook berkata jika Moon Noh benar2 melanggar Bi Jae, dia akan memaafkan Moon Noh. Mi Shil berkata akan lebih mudah bagi mereka jika Guk Seon memang merancangnya. Chil Sook mengerti maksud Mi Shil.

Mi Shil dan Chil Sook bertemu dan Mi shil bertanya apa maksud Chil Sook. Chil Sook berkata pada semua orang bahwa ia Wonsanghwa Chil Sook telah menghabiskan hidupnya dengan pedang dan jika mereka menghina Bi Jae, ia lebih baik membutakan matanya daripada melihatnya. Chil Sook melihat Moon Noh dan meminta Moon Noh menyatakan pendapatnya apa Bi Jae ini adil dan sah. Chil Sook bertanya apa Guk Seon setuju, jika Guk Seon setuju maka Hwa Rang akan selesai.

Para Nangdo saling bergumam dan berbisik apa artinya ini dengan akhir Hwa Rang, saat itu Kim Chun Shu menyelinap diantara kerumunan orang. Joo Bang mencoba mendengar dan minta teman2nya diam saat Kim Chun Chu datang disamping Joo Bang dan bertanya siapa pemenangnya dan bertanya ini dan itu. Joo Bang sangat terganggu kemudian ia ingin memukulnya tapi ia melihat Kim Chun Chu bukan Go Do seperti yang ia pikir.

Deok Man is shocked to what Bi Dam is doing at the Bi Jae grounds & wonder what he is up to, how could be in the grounds of Bio Jae. Guk San Heun tell that Bi Dam is now asking the permission from Wonsanghwa (Chil Sook) to allow to enter in participation for the Bi Jae

Se Jong asked whether they can be certain that Bo Jong is guarantee to become Pungwolju. Ha Jong said that it is indeed seen that he has never lost in any Bi Jae prior but asked whether Bo Jong can lift up to expectation & asked if he should lose, then what will they do. Seol Won Rang said that in a fight between martial art exponents there is marginal of unpredictability in defeat is always present, there is no guarantee of definitely victory. Dae Nam Bo leading Kim Chun Chu’s entourage as an command shouts to order a halt. Dae Nam Bo jumps from his horse & asked what is the matter, Kim Chun Chu tells his that he is too nauseous to continue the journey & needs rest. Dae Nam Bo order that the sedan chair be lowered. Kim Chun Chu emerge from the sedan chair & introduce as Kim Chun Chu, soon to be the Great King Taejong Muyeol as he rest on a chair set for him to take some fresh air & asked for a towel & water to be brought to him. As the ladies in waiting dampened the towel for Kim Chun Chu to wipe his face & cool his face with the towel, while Dae Nam Bo is getting anxious in making time & tells that Kim Chun Chu must hasten this journey & arrived in Seorabeol as soon as possible as they are within the proximity of the capital. Kim Chun Chu said that the sedan chair is making him ill with nauseous & he can proceed any further. This drive Dae Nam Bo up the wall with the wimpy Kim Chun Chu

Kim Chun Chu later King Taejong Muyeol is known to possess a great diplomatic skill & it shows during his engagement with Tang Dynasty. Now he is playing the clown to set the adversary off guard

Kim Chun Chu enquire about the Bi Jae that is commencing at Seorabeol & Dae Nam Bo conforms it as Kim Chun Chu makes the excuse that the day is too hot to travel in this scorching afternoon sun. In the end the Bi Jae decides on the semi finals that Kim Yu Shin of Yonghwa Hyangdo will meet Al Cheon of Bi Jeong Ji Do while Bi Dam of Mu Myeong Ji Do meets with Bo Jong as Ho Jae of Il Wyol Seon Do announce to the participants of the respective contenders. The semi finals will take place in the hour of Shin Shi (Monkey is 3-5pm) at hwa Rang grounds

Cha Jang Sheon is the semi final rounds

Kim Yu Shin nurse his inflamed shoulder tendon from all the bouts that he is fighting as Wyol Ya & Seo jin comes to check on him & asked him how he is doing. Seo Ji had a look at Kim Yu Shin inflamed shoulder tendon & see how seriously the condition is & asked if he able to compete with that bad shoulder. Kim Yu Shin is certain that the other Hwa Rang are just as batter as he is. Seo Ji help to nurse Kim Yu Shin’s shoulder. Wyol Ya tells him that if Kim Yu Shin makes it to become Pungwolju, it will speed up & expedite their plans by the least 3 years of planning. Kim Yu Shin must need to win on this at all cost. Seo Ji conforms that he must as he shoulder a heavy responsibility of burden on his shoulders

Al Cheon is facing hand injuries as his valet tells him that he will be facing Kim Yu Shin in this semi final bout & how does he feel about the bout. Al Cheon said that he will do his best. The varlet tell him that if he goes all out with Kim Yu Shin & wins then the next opponent he meets will be Bo Jong, wouldn’t there be a problem as the valet asked whether Al Cheon had made a pact with Kim Yu Shin on the advancement to the next bout. Al Cheon reprimand his valet on what he is trying to imply that Al Cheon will go & manipulate & doctor the Bi Jae for his own benefits. Al Cheon & Kim Yu Shin has never come across any of this thought to do so as this is Bi Jae & they will abide to the rules as it is a Bi Jae.

Bo Jong doing push up. Seok Bum comes to see Bo Jong to asked how he is doing & whether he is alright. Seok Bum apologise that he wasn’t of much help. Bo Jong comfort him that Bi Dam is formidable opponent to be reckon. Seok Bum then advice that Bo Jong must overcome Bi Dam quick movement if he wants to advance to the finals. Seok Bum said that Kim Yu Shin & Al Cheonn may have come to some scheme arrangement, Seok Bum tells Bo Jong that Bi Dam’s greatest strength is his quick reflexes & his agility but however that Bi Dam had hurt his ankle, he will find it hard to use his right ankle to execute his movement

Bi Dam sleeping like a log & resting his right leg when Dae Pung & Guk San Heun comes to serve him water. Then they find Bi Dam sleeping peaceful without a care in the world, snoring & laughing to himself in his sleep. Guk San Heun said that he already said he needed no one to service on his side & Bi Dam seems alright on his own. Then notice Bi Dam injuries that was inflicted by Im Jong & wonder if he can still walk with that injury

Mi Saeng goes around looking for his sister only to find her in her chamber. MI Shil tell her brother that Ha Jong has send news about Kim Chun Chu but yet she is still waiting for Kim Chun Chu supposed arrival in the palace & asked whether Kim Chun Chu has reach the palace. Mi Saeng said that he has not as they just pass Geumohsan in the morning & nearing the Seorabeol as they speak. Mi Shil is surprise as Seol Won Rang said that Geumohsan is just a around the corner from Seorabeol. MI Saeng said that it is due to the fact that Kim Chun Chu can’t ride a horse & he thinks it is absurd. Mi Shil & Seol Won Rang looks at Mi Saeng strangely as he is referring to himself as it kettle calling the pot black. Mi Saeng defends himself that the least he has other ability & not like Kim Chun Chu who is non existence in any field

Dae Nam Bo pacing as Kim Chun Chu rest as Dae Nam Boo coax Kim Chun Chu to ride on horseback as it is nothing so difficult that anyone is able to do it as Dae Nam Bo volunteer to teach Kim Chun Chu to ride on horseback that it will be an enjoyable experience. Kim Chun Chu asked whether it is indeed that riding on horseback is deemed enjoyable. Dae Nam Bo will show Kim Chun Chu on how to do it. Kim Chun Chu said he did try to learn a long time ago but it sure was a hard task to master & the least Dae Na Bo show him the ropes as he will give this a try. Kim Chun Chu goes & mounts on a horse, then as Dae Nam Bo said that he is to hold the reins, Kim Chun Chu claims that he is getting frighten & he wants to dismount as soon as possible. Dae Nam Bo tries to persuade Kim Chun Chu to stay longer mounted but Kim Chun Chu insist of dismount then as he dismount he told Dae Nam Bo that the horse ride had made him tired & he will rest in inn. Dae Nam Bo shock that Kim Chun Chu to claim fatigue when he only been in a horse for just a moment, as they need to hurried back to the capital but Kim Chun Chu insist that he want to go to an inn at once

Then Kim Yu Shin, Bo Jong & Al Cheon prepare themselves but Bi Dam is sleeping. Moon Noh comes to see Deok Man & asked if she had given an order Bi Dam. Deok Man asked what is Moon Noh is trying to imply as Moon Noh explains that Bi Dam participation is done without any form of prior consent from him & asked whether Deok Man had order Bi Dam to do so. So Hwa jitter on the name Bi Dam. Deok Man said she order no such matter. So Hwa informs that the Bi Jae will soon start & they must hasten their step to see it. Deok Man leaves as Moon Noh makes way

Ho Jae announce that semi final bout about to commence with Kim Yu Shin of Yonghwa Hyangdo versus Al Cheon of Bi Cheon Ji Do as they come forward as they pay greeting to Deok Man as they go out to the grounds to battle it out ferociously. Yonghwa Hyangdo cheer Kim Yu Shin on like football fans as Bi Cheon Ji Do does the same to cheer their Captain on. As both Kim Yu Shin & Al Cheon are equally tested then eventually Kim Yu Shin came out a better man from the bout as Al Cheon collapse from fatigue. Then Kim Yu Shin is declare the winner then proceed to Jang Won Cheon. Yonghwa Hyangdo cheers for their Captain. Kim Yu Shin went to pick up the fatigue Al Cheon & raise Al Cheon’s hand to acknowledge the cheers as they embraces each other

Kim Yu Shin is carry back to have a rest as Go Do tell how great Kim Yu Shin was. Joo Bang said that since his skill is so good, why that he had never wanted to participate in the Bi Jae before. Dae Pung 7 Guk San Heun help Kim Yu Shin to hydrate with fluid when Al Cheon comes in & said how is that the loser is walking & the winner of their bout is lying in bed. Kim Yu Shin said it was a great bout. Al Cheon tell that he must become Pungwolju since he had graciously defeat him. Yonghwa Hyangdo applause Al Cheon remarkable speech. Joo Bang said that if Al Cheon is going to conceit defeat he should have gone easy & not beat Kim Yu Shin it such ferocious strike until he pulps & then tell him that he can proceed to become Pungwolju. The Bi Cheon Ji Do tell this is why Bi Jae is all about. Joo Bang can’t understand the gesture of embracing each other & telling that friendship is forever. Dae Pung think he know the answer that it is the feeling of bosom comrade in arms fighting in bout has in true sense of significant meaning. Joo Bang thinks it is utter nonsense that Bi Jae makes them all excited & righteous & give a demonstration of Bi Jae with him

Dae Nam Bo goes to Kim Chun Chu’s room to asked that they need to start their journey as it is getting late & need to hasten their journey to the capital as he call out to Kim Chun Chu then finds there is no answer from the room, Dae Nam Bo enters to find Kim Chun Chu is missing from the room as he place a dummy on the bed. Then Dae Nam Bo’s men comes to report that Kim Chun Chu is nowhere to be found even at the latrine. Dae Nam Bo said that this can’t happened & order a search for Kim Chun Chu at once

The next semi final is Bo Jong versus Bi Dam as Bo Jong recalls what Seok Bum said that Bi Dam’s greatest advantages are his quick and his agility but however he had injure his ankle, he may not full extend the full ability of the movement. Bo Jong goes to attack Bi Dam injure ankle then tell Bi Dam that he the victor of 10 Bi Jae & that the environment sides him. Then Bi Dam comes out with some technique that looks like taijiquan that got Moon Noh up on his chair & Chil Sook take notice

As I too has several years in my belt practicing this arts, it is an hard & soft technique in dealing in the forces of attack that since Bo Jong wield a very strong striking blows, Bi Dam needs to counter this with a soft blow & to protect his own injuries. Bi Dam needs to use Bo Jong’s aggressive force & momentum & work against Bo Jong rather than him. I can go on but this is not a taijiquan lesson. Although Taijiquan wasn’t invented in the 7th century but the Shaolin monastery is already established. Bi Dam looks at Moon Noh to asked his teacher to look that he has master his martial art without his tutoring. Moon Noh reprimand Bi Dam for stealing peek at his martial arts as Bi Dam begs that he wants to learn everything from his teacher Moon Noh while is teacher is reluctant to teach him anything. Moon Noh said that Bi Dam has master the martial arts by mere observation

Bi Dam using the position of an advantage position with a seamless movement then goes into a close contact & block then in a circular motion pushes Bo Jong to the ground like the force of a projectile. Bo Jong is defeated as Bi Dam declares the winner & proceed to the finals. Moon Noh just sat in a thud back to his seat. Ho Jae tells that the final will commence tomorrow morning but Bi Dam request that he will fight Kim Yu Shin now & here. Ho Jae calls for Kim Yu Shin to ask if he agree to fight this final bout as of now. Kim Yu Shin said if Bi Dam is fine with, he doesn’t disagree with that proposal then in a time period of Han (2 hours) in the hours of Sul (Dog 7-9pm) the final will commence

Kim Yong Chu goes to report to King Jinpyeong & Queen Maya that Bojong has lost in the Bi Jae. King Jinpyeong surprise that to whom did Bo Jong lost to. Kim Yong Chu reports that it is Bi Dam who defeated him. Queen Maya said to her knowledge that Bo Jong has never lost in a Bi Jae before & how could Bi Dam defeated him. King Jinpyeong said that if Bi Dam can overcome Bo Jong, he must be excellently skilled. Kim Yu Shin said that if Bi Dam wins this final then each of them had won once in the Bi Jae section then it will be a tie & Pungwolju will be voting ballot of Jung Mang Kyeol

King Jinpyeong said that with that voting system; then Bo Jong would be the likeable winner. Queen Maya said that Kim Yu Shin must become Pungwolju in order to has stronghold support for Deok Man. Ha Jong comes in disappointed that Bo Jong has lost the Bi Jae as he has predicted. Se Jong is surprise as Mi Shil is shocked that Bo Jong has lost to Bi Dam. Ha Jong said on what the boasting Bo Jong has said that he had never lost in Bi Jae & Ha Jong said that he knew that his arrogance will lead to defeat & downfall. Se Jong then said that the final will be Kim Yu Shin versus Bi Dam. Se Jong asked what Mi Shil is suppose to go about in handling this arise situation as Mi Shil puts on her thinking cap. Ha Jong then remind that both Kim Yu Shin & Bi dam are vassal under Princess Deok Man. Mi Shil said that she will head herself to the Bi Jae grounds as Ha Jong tell that his mother’s presence will not influence the said result. Mi Shil leaves as Ha Jong can’t comprehend his mother’s gesture.

Mi Shil goes to see her defeated son who is really disappointed in his lost as Bo Jong apologise for his lost. Mi Shil tells that her son has done well to the best of his effort he can. Mi Shil then goes & comfort her disappointing son & pacify him that he did indeed do well

In the hours of Sul where Kim Yu Shin meets with Bi Dam pause for 15 mins without striking at each other

A time period of a han (2 hours) is divided into 8 segment or ‘Gak” so 1 segment is 15 min

Joo Bang asked whether they are going to defeat each other by just gazing at each other. Joo Bang said this is a fight of mind over matter & tell that they know nothing of the in depth of martial arts. Deok Man looking at the 2 man as she recalls telling Bi Dam if it should what she thinks & fear on what Bi Dan’s intention are, she will not forgive Bi Dam. Bi Dam said that what fear Deok Man has is that of Kim Yu Shin losing in this Bi Jae. Deok Man said she is willing to accept Kim Yu Shin lost but not what Bi Dam’s is intending to do, if what he is intention is of that, Deok Man ask him not even think about it, especially Kim Yu Shin will not accept it serve on a given platter. Deok Man tells in her heart that Bi Dam must not give this Bi Jae on a platter. Kim Yu Shin fights Bi Dam & realise what his intention 7&asked him to fight this for real & warn if he doesn’t he is dead meat. Bi Dam asked Kim Yu Shin to take his perspective wider the comparison of what he is achieve to that of what Princess Deok Man’s ambition that she needs to, this Bi Jae is nothing in comparison. Kim Yu Shin said don’t he dare under mind this Bi Jae. Mi Shil comes to the Hwa Rang ground to see the final bout

Then Bi Dam falls on the ground as Kim Yu Shin asked Bi Dam to get up then Chil Sook gets angry & walks down to the ground to tell that Kim Yu Shin & Bi Dam is making a mockery out of the Bi Jae. Chil Sook tell them how dare they still call themselves Hwarang. Deok Man fear that the influence of Chil Sook may be part of Mi Shil’s plan. Then a recall scene that Seol Won Rang tells Mi Shil that there is a possibility the Guk Seon has sent Bi Dam to defeat Bojong in order to allow Kim Yu Shin to succeed as Pungwolju. Chil Sook assures that Moon Noh will do no such thing in honour of the Bi Jae. Seol Won Rang can”t be certain & hope that he is wrong but the play of suspicion is highly in regards to the current situation that is unfolding. Chil Sook said that if Moon Noh indeed violate the Bi Jae, he will forgive Moon Noh’s action. Mi Shil said it will make things easier for them if Guk Seon had mastermind this. Chil Sook understands Mi Shil’s intention

Mi Shil & Chil Sook goes on the theatrics act on the Hwa Rang ground asking Chil what does he mean with his implication that they are trying to doctored the results of the Bi Jae. Chil Sook tell the crowd that he Wonsanghwa Chil Sook has spend his life with a sword & if they should be such doctored in the Bi Jae is beyond his fearful thought, he will blind his eyes that to see this spectacle & to atone for my insolence. Chil Sook turns to Moon Noh & asked him to voice out whether this Bi Jae is fair & eligible.Chil Sook asked if by chance Guk Seon the beacon of Hwa Rang said it is so then Hwa Rang will come to & end. The cadres are all buzzing what with the end of Hwa Rang, when Kim Chun Chu sneaks in among the crowd. Jo Bang tries to hush them down when Kim Chun Chu comes beside Joo bang & asked who is the winner & asked him many question & Joo Bang is irritated then want to hit him but finds it is Kim Chun Chu instead he thought it was Go Do

Joo Bang: And who might you …be?

Kim Chun Chu: I…..am Kim Chun Chu.

Kim Chun Chu smiles as the next main character is introduced to the drama
