The winner competes in Miss World 2009, in South Africa
Windhoek, June 7, 2009 – The Miss Namibia 2009 finals took place last Saturday night at the Windhoek Country Club & Resort in Windhoek.
Here are the results:
WINNER - Happie Ntelamo (photo). She will compete in the Miss World 2009 pageant.
1st RU - Tanya Schemmer
2nd RU - Susan van Zyl

Firstly, I would like to say that the judges of the peagent really chose someone with class, beauty, brains and so much potential to be our Miss Namibia. It makes me so proud to be Namibian because the judges were fair and did justice to Happie Ntelamo.
Happie, you have really got what it takes to be the next Miss World or Miss Universe!! I wish you all the best in the future and good luck. Being Miss Namibia is very serious, you can change people's lives and you possess the power to change many issues and problems that we face in our country. You are a beacon of hope and change - use your ability for the good of our nation. Use it to voice the cries of women and children in our society.
