Claudia Arce, Miss Chuquisaca, is the newly crowned Miss Bolivia and she will represent her country in Miss Universe 2010.



Sucre, BOLIVIA, May 21, 2009 – Claudia Arce, Miss Chuquisaca, was crowned the new Miss Bolivia and will represent her country in Miss Universe 2010. The event took place at the Gran Mariscal Theater of Sucre, and marked Gloria Limpias' 30th anniversary as organizer of the pageant.

The first runner-up, Flavia Foianini, Miss Bicentenario, was crowned Miss Bolivia World. She will travel to South Africa, where she will compete for the 2009 Miss World title.

Ximena Vargas, Miss Santa Cruz, was the 2nd runner-up, crowned Miss Bolivia International.

Paola Flores, Miss Litoral, came next, and she will represent Bolivia in Miss American Continent, in Ecuador.


Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela, and her runner-up, Taliana Vargas of Colombia, were present at the event.

The new Bolivian beauty queen, who will have over a year to get ready to compete in Miss Universe, is 18 years old, 1.73 m-tall, and a student of Industrial Engineering.
