Another year has passed and Miss Chinese International Pageant will be held again. This time around The 21th Miss Chinese International Pageant 2009 , will be held in Foshan, Guangdong province, China on Saturday January 17, 2009.
January 17, 2009 - The morning of the Final, the contestants had their final rehearsal for the 3-hour long pageant tonight. They all wore 2 piece swimsuits for the press and voted for the Miss Friendship Award. The winner was #10 Miss Hong Kong Skye Chan.
The Pageant concluded tonight after 3 hours of competition. There was a dance segment with all 28 contestants, then all the contestants came out in a swimsuit of their choice. During this portion of the competition the scores for the contestants were shown. With 50 points being the maximum, the highest score went to Miss Toronto (43). Then the Top 8 Finalists were announced.
They were Misses Auckland, Beijing, Hong Kong, Seattle, Toronto, Tubingen, Vancouver & Zhengzhou. Next came the Q&A, included Miss Auckland whose question was about her job being a dentist. She says that even she herself needed some work on her teeth. Eric Tsang being the usual mean emcee that he is says, "Yeah, but you probably need plastic surgery first". After the questions, the Top 5 were announced and they performed talents before the winners were announced.
