Miss America Beauty Pageant 2008 was held on January 27, 2008 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Miss Michigan Kirsten Haglund, a 19-year-old who comes from Farmington Hills, Michigan was crowned as 83rd Miss America 2008 on January 27, 2008 after She managed to beat out 51 other contestants to be crowned Miss America 2008 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.



She has proved to America that although she is still young but she is still the best. She sang the popular well known song "Over the Rainbow in the talent competition and wore a black and gold bikini in the swimsuit portion to help her won the title and was crowned as Miss America 2008 that night. Along with the title of Miss America 2008, Kirsten won a $50,000 scholarship to continue her education.
