As read on news of the new season American Idol 2009 or American Idol Season 8,they will introduce a New American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi. Other than that, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson will still be the judges and the show.

After Simon, Randy, Paula and new judge Kara DioGuardi announce the Top 36 semifinalists on February 11th, it will then be up to viewers to decide who moves forward in the competition during the three weeks of semifinals.
12 different semifinalists will perform each night in the hopes of moving on to the Top 12.

New for Season 8, American Idol presents a special “Wild Card” episode featuring the judges’ favorite remaining contestants.
After each of the contestants performs, the judges will select the three final contestants who will round out the Top 12.
