Randy Jackson: It was just okay. Definately not the best.
Paula Abdul: First song - Loved the lower range, same liberty on both the songs.
Simon: We don’t recognize you at the moment. You struggled through both songs.Forgetable. Sorry.

David Cook first sang “I’m Alive”. Then “All I Really Need is You.”

Randy: First song - very good in the zone. Second song - Yo. Check it out. I’m a huge David Cook fan right now.
Paula: I feel like I’m already looking at the American Idol.
Simon: I thought the first song was okay. The second song was brilliant.

Brooke White sang “I’m a Believer”. Then she sang “I Am I Said.”

Randy Jackson: Nice job
Paula Abdul: Everyone loves who you are and that works.
Simon: First song was a nightmare. I really hate the first song. This is the Brooke we like. Well done.

David Archuleta sang “Sweet Caroline” first, followed by the song“America.”

Randy Jackson: Another good performance
Paula Abdul: This was the absolute perfect song for you to sing. I love you, you are brilliant have fun.
Simon: That was a smart choice of song. That was clever. That was absolutely the right song. very good.

Syesha sang “Hello Again,” and “Thank the Lord for the Nighttime.”

Randy Jackson: You finally realized who you are all along. That is also in the zone. This is the way I like you.
Paula Abdul: For the first song I thought the touch of your voice is absolutely beautiful. The second song shows the whole different side. You got that softness in your voice.
Simon: You are a very good actress/singer. I think however you may be in trouble tonight. I don't think you have a really memorable second song like some of the others tonight.
