Débora Lyra from Brazil is the winner of Top Model of the World 2009 on April 4, 2009 held in Berlin, Germany


Débora Lyra from Brazil wins Top Model of the World contest

Berlin, GERMANY- Débora Lyra (c), 19, the representative of Brazil, won the title Top Model of the World 2009 this Saturday in Berlin, Germany.

Débora hails from the state of Espírito Santos and she was a 2009 Miss Earth Brazil's runner-up last November.

The 1st runner-up was Yolimar Sanchez (USA, l), and the 2nd runner-up was Diana Ivancheva (Bulgaria, r).

The other two finalists came from Poland and the Dominican Republic.

Semi-finalists were the candidates from Zimbabwe, Kosovo, Sweden, Armenia, Guadeloupe, Belarus and Bolivia. Congratulations to the winners.

Rarotonga, COOK ISLANDS - Miss Cook Islands 2009 was crowned in Rarotonga, and the winner was Engara Melanie Amanda Gosselin, Miss Rarotongan Beach Resort and Spa.

The new Miss Cook Islands, who will compete in Miss Earth and Miss South Pacific 2009, is a 24-year-old Graduate Management Trainee Student at the University of the South Pacific.

The 1st runner-up was Joyanna Myer and the second runner-up was Uirangi Bishop.
