KAREN SHWARZ, A 24-YEAR OLD PROFESSIONAL MODEL FROM AMASONAS IS THE NEWLY CROWNED MISS PERU UNIVERSE 2009 ON APRIL 4, 2009

LIMA, April 4, 2009 – Karen Schwarz, a 24-year old professional model who represented Amazonas, was crowned Miss Peru Universe 2009 during an event held in Lima on April 4, 2009. Karen is 1.78 m tall and will represent Peru at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in the Bahamas next August.

The 1st runner-up was Miss Ayacucho, Jessica Shialer, who will compete in Miss Earth 2009 in the Philippines; and the 2nd runner-up was Miss Ica, Sofia del Pino.

23 YEAR-OLD POOJA CHOPRA IS THE NEWLY CROWNED FEMINA MISS INDIA WORLD 2009 HELD ON APRIL 5, 2009

The newly crowned Femina Miss India World 2009, Pooja Chopra will represent the country in Miss World; Chaudhary and Kishiori to Miss Universe and Earth

MUMBAI, April 5th – 23-year old Pooja Chopra won the title of Femina Miss India World during an event held on April 5th and telecast live to the whole country.

She stands 1.71 m tall and received the crown from last year's winner, Parvathy Omanakuttan who was 1st runner-up in Miss World 2008.



Pooja Chopra will represent India at the Miss World 2009 contest in Johannesburg, South Africa, next December.

Ekta Chaudhury, 22, was crowned Femina Miss India Universe and will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in the Bahamas. She is 1.77 m tall.

Shriya Kishiore was crowned Femina Miss India Earth. The remaining finalists were Harshita Saxena and Irshita Sarkar. DAIJIWORLD
