Kaiane Aldorino, Miss World 2009, was welcomed by thousands of people in the streets of Gibraltar as she returned home. She was saluted by the people of Gibraltar as a true queen. Welcome home, Miss World!!
GIBRALTAR - Kaiane Aldorino, Miss World 2009, was welcomed by thousands of people in the streets of Gibraltar as she returned home. She was saluted by the people of Gibraltar as a true queen.
She was flown by private jet from London to Gibraltar airport where she was received by family, friends and thousands of fans who congratulated her.
Over 20 people thousand (Gibraltar has a population of 30 K), when out to take part in this historic moment.
Kaiane said, “If I was a proud Gibraltarian before, I am even prouder now, and proud to be here with everyone – thank you all for all your support”.
Gibraltar has been participating in the Miss World pageant since 1959, but had not even placed among the semi-finalists. Now it has its first Miss World!
