Salsomaggiore, September 14, 2009 – The most traditional Italian pageant, Miss Italia, was concluded last Monday in Salsomaggione, with the victory of Maria Perrusi, from Cosenza, Calabria. She was crowned by Italian swimmer and beauty contest jury president Federica Pellegrini.
The new Miss Italia is 18 and 1.82 m-tall. Although it's the most celebrated beauty title in Italy, the winner does not compete internationally.
The show was telecast to the whole world by RAI International.
