Miss New York, Genesis Barrientos was crowned Nuestra Belleza Hispana USA 2009 (Miss Hispanic USA 2009) in a beauty pageant held at the Aaron Davis Hall of the City College. SThe newly crowned, Genesis Barrientos was crowned by the last year's winner Glenys Sanchez.

Genesis will promote AIDS/HIV prevention and fight against domestic violence as part of her role as the new titleholder. She will also travel to Santa Cruz, Bolivia to compete for Hispanic-American Queen 2009 Beauty Pageant.
Yuleiky Mena, Miss Pennsylvania was the 1st run-up while Dania Martinez, Miss Illinois is the 2nd runner-up winner.
