January 13, 2009 - Democracy in Gabon, 22 year-old Marlyne Eyene Ella was crowned MISS GABON 2009, beating 17 other beauties to win the crown.
She will now represent Gabon at Miss Tourism Queen International 2009, which will be the Gabonese debut in a Grand Slam pageant.
Her court includes 1st runner up Marie-Thérèse Palysandre Bert, a 19 year-old student, and 2nd runner up Cynthia Mboumba, a 21 year-old student. They will participate in Miss International 2009 and Miss Earth 2009, respectively.
