DAR ES SALAAM, May 30, 2009 – Illuminata James (photo, center) was crowned the winner of the Miss Universe Tanzania 2009 beauty contest held at the Milmani Conference Center on Saturday. She will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in the Bahamas, August 23rd.
The 1st and 2nd runner-ups were Evelyne Almasi and Hidaya Maheda, respectively.
